White Sox Fans,

Don't miss SoxFest 2014, sponsored by Miller Lite, Pepsi, Comcast SportsNet and WGN-TV, and your opportunity to meet some of your favorite current and former White Sox players, collect autographs, attend question-and-answer sessions, participate in interactive baseball activities and visit the ever-popular SoxFest Garage Sale featuring unique White Sox memorabilia and collectibles.

SoxFest 2014 will be held January 24 - 26 at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago. Two-night hotel packages for SoxFest, along with weekend passes, are currently on sale at whitesox.com. The special SoxFest hotel rate is $278 (plus applicable taxes and fees) for a two-night stay and fans who book a two-night stay are eligible to also purchase up to four SoxFest weekend passes.

Early-bird rates on weekend passes are available for a limited time only for $60 per pass. Regularly priced weekend passes will be $75.

See you in January!

Sincerely,

The White Sox

Is Soxfest aware that his package is being sold?

no

I think it's worse that it's on Sale

This is not sitting well with the general fan (read facebook fan) the comments out there are ripping Sox for extreme prices vs. 99 loss team. FWIW.

The prices have been about the same for a few years now. If they'd drop back closer to what they were in 05 or 06 where the passes where included in the price of the hotel room, I might think about going again.

Jose Abreu, Nate Jones, Matt Lindstrom, Alexei Ramirez, Erik Johnson, Marcus Semien added to SoxFest lineup. Jan. 24-26.

So nearly $400 for the weekend? Yikes. Looks like I won't be attending SoxFest for a while.

You split that between 4 buddies and you're looking at 150 per weekend plus spending money but you can do that on the cheap.

That's true.

It has been that way for years now.

CHICAGO – The Chicago White Sox announced an expanded list of former players scheduled to appear at SoxFest 2014, which now includes special guest Bobby Jenks, the closer on the White Sox 2005 World Series Championship team.

Jenks joins an impressive list of other former Sox players planning to attend, including Bo Jackson, Ron Kittle, Carlos May, Minnie Minoso, Tom Paciorek, Gary Peters, Jim Thome and Frank Thomas, who yesterday was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. White Sox manager Robin Ventura also will be in attendance, as well as pitching coach Don Cooper and new hitting coach Todd Steverson.

Current players Jose Abreu, Adam Dunn, Adam Eaton, Avisail Garcia, Erik Johnson, Nate Jones, Paul Konerko, Matt Lindstrom, Josh Phegley, Alexei Ramirez and Marcus Semien, and White Sox prospect Micah Johnson, all are scheduled to be at SoxFest.

Tanaka would be a heck of a Soxfest surprise move! I almost put that in green. It would be very unlikely. Which would make it that much more awesome.

Tanaka's deadline is January 24. You know what else is January 24? The first day of Soxfest.

They have now officially posted the schedule of seminars and autographs for Soxfest and I was hoping to get a little feedback if possible.

Schedule

My main question is regarding Sunday. The #1 person I would like to get an autograph from this day would be Jim Thome with Bo Jackson being 2nd. However, with Bo signing at 9:00AM and Thome signing at noon, I am not entirely sure if I would be able to get both. For those that have been to Soxfest before, do you think that Thome will fill up immedaitely? Or do you think that I would have decent luck trying for both? Any advice you could give would be appreciated.

You should have no problem getting both. The way the distribute the bracelets or signing you will have plenty of time to get both.

Thanks for the response. I am just worried that the line for Thome will be completely filled before I would be done getting Bo Jackson. I know that Frank Thomas and Robin Ventura tend to fill up super fast. Not really sure how well Thome will draw.
