First time to see the Sox: Seating questions

So I will be going to my first Sox game next month and would really appreciate advice on seats, bars, food, etc...

It's just me and a friend and we are thinking about getting the $42 patio passes for the two hours of food and beer. Is this worth it?

Or should we just hang out at the Bullpen sports bar or the Chisox bar and grill?

We don't need expensive seats, just going to have fun, experience the environment and drink beer.

Also, where do you guys suggest we go after the game for food and a good variety of beer?

Thanks in advance. ;)

If you want a patio party, go to whitesox.com, then tickets, then Sox save of the week. They have some patio party discounts there that will make it more than worth it if you are halfway hungry and are ready to drink. You get a patio party and a lower deck ticket for $40-50. A little more for the Yankees.

Ok I see what you're talking about, thanks. How is the Bullpen sports bar? Any cool places to go after the game?

The Patio Party is a great deal if you can get it on sale. Eat as much as you can before you get kicked out for the game. Same with drinking. You used to also be able to carry out a drink or two, check on that.

Where do I look to get them on sale? Are the deals on the White Sox page considered a sale or best pricing?

Yeah I saw that, I just didn't know if he was talking about better deals than what's on the Sox page.

I would recommend sending a private message to this guy. He is the most up to date on Sox ticket info.

So how is beer served in the patio area? Is it easy to get as many as you want? Is it a bar and the beer comes in cups?

Draft beer in cup. I asked how many can i get. Beer guy responded how many can you carry?

I thought it was 2 beers per ID?

So two at a time? If that's the case then I'm good. Is it really packed therefore having to stand in line to get beer and taking forever? I want to maximize my beer drinking time.

It's not too crowded. Wait times for a beer are less than a minute.Last one I was at was vs. Boston a couple of years ago. There couldn't have been more than 25 people total. It was Labor Day weekend though. It stays open a half hour after the game starts, and you can take a beer with you when you leave.
