No sure, I get the concept, I've been fine with pretty much every lightning bolt they've tried to catch, just saying that this guy is absolutely broken. When you're walking way more guys than Maikel Cleto, you're pretty much boned.

Bobby Korecky has absolutely no value to a major league team. It's the same thing as Yohan Pino and Dylan Axelrod. They can perform well in AA and AAA, but then they get to the majors and good hitters destroy them.

I missed that he was 34, but I'd wager there's a stronger history of guys with constant ERAs in the 2s and 3s in the minors contributing in the majors than guys following seasons of giving up the amount of walks Rodriguez has. Give me Pino over him any day, dude has struck out nearly 7 per 9 and walked way less than 2 per 9 in the majors this year, only been boned by almost half of his allowed baserunners scoring.

Is there one player in the history of baseball who has given up as many walks as Rodriguez has in the past 2 years and gone on to be successful? He's a Daniel Bard.

Putnam usually throws in the 80's and he's been a great success because of the movement on his pitches. Partly, it's because nearly every MLB bullpen is filled with guys throwing mid 90's and up, so a soft tosser like a Wasserman, Wunsch, Bradford or even Putnam's a total shock even if they do have video and a scouting report.

They have Taylor Thompson and Deunte Heath and Matt Zaleski and Charlie Leesman. Don't really need any more than that, and if they need more, they're always available.
