White Sox To Decline Option On Felipe Paulino http://dlvr.it/7MsBXt

Not surprising.

If he pitched all year, we might have got a 1st round pick instead.

Stupid, stupid Hahn.

he was done, you could have put a fork in him. the sox created

a fake injury as not to embarrass him.

Hahn was stupid for not having other options with fa's signing.

I guess the salary limit that higher management may had

something to say about that.

This is a good thing. My guess there will be plenty of reclamation projects out there to look at if we just want to take some chances at reasonable prices. Paulino just didn't work out

40 man is really 34.

Konerko (retiring) Lindstrom (free agent) Jones(60 day DL)

Who has to get added to protect from rule 5?

35. Jones will have to be re-instated from the 60 day DL.

Oh yeah. They have to do that for risk to losing him in rule 5 draft right? But after that, they can put him back on the 60 day DL because of the TJ surgery, correct?

No, there's just no 60 day DL (or DL in general, for that matter) in the offseason.

If they didn't want to keep him on the 40-man, they'd have to non-tender him or DFA him, both of which would put him on waivers and he would be in a different organization next year. It would be a bad thing to remove him from the 40-man.

They can't put him on the DL until near the end of spring training when the DL opens up again.

Ok thank you for the clarification.

maybe the Royals will bring Paulino back.
