Wise Master Buehrle
http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/news/mlb...t=.jsp&c_id=mlb All he wants is to lead this team to a White Sox World Series victory. I know he can do it. He's Frank Thomas. He IS the piece of the puzzle. He IS everything about this team. It's like he says, when he does well, they do well, Thomas homered in the first two games against the Yanks, what do the rest of the Sox do? Clutch hits. He is the key. If he can stay hot, we are going to win this pennant. I also wouldn't be too worried about the upcoming Minnesota series. The Sox go into big series like these with SO much momentum. Take a look at both Kansas City series, the Cub series, the Yankee series, even the beginning of the Mariner series, even though we got spanked the other two games. From here on out, we should all be saying, "GO FRANK THOMAS!"
southsider2k5
This team doesn't go anywhere without Frank hitting. Period.
DonkeyKongerko
Sad as it is to say, Maggs might be the one killing us the most in clutch situations lately. Maggs has had quite a few first pitch GIDP at bats this season, something Carlos Lee has learned to avoid this year I have to say.

DonkeyKongerko
Yeah I mean Maggs is still putting up great numbers. But the numbers don't really say how bad of a situational hitter he has been this year.

Frank can hit, but the team needs to come together for games. They can't have good starts both games as we saw against Boston and lose whether it's due to poor offense or bad bullpen. Every aspect of the team is needed to win. This doesn't happen often with this team, but they have been able to win some games despite themselves. Other than that double that he hit in the ninth, Maggs had a very poor game. His effort to get back on Everett's line shot to center was non existent at best. There were no excuses for not even being halfway to first when he was thrown out.

YASNY
This is a first. At least no one is ranting and raving about him. A critical examination of Maggs' play recently is what this has been. It was refreshing to see a crtitical thread without seeing the "red smiley".

DBAHO
Why wouldn't he want a World Series Ring. All players who play da game want that or they shouldn't be playing the game. Simple as that. But I don't think Frank wants to be thinked of as a great player who never won a ring, and I don't blame him. This could be his best chance to get 1 too.
