Tyler would have probably had him if the pitch hadn't been so far outside.

Great job Rodon

Just awful.

Hawk b****ing about strike 3 being missed against Machado, but you won't get that call if you keep missing your spots the whole game.

99?

This team sucks bunting.

All of baseball sucks at bunting. That's why you can have all these dramatic shifts leaving the whole left side open. Back in the day hitters choked up , could chop the ball the other way didn't K as much. Baseball was more team oriented. Now hardly anyone chokes up or alters their approach based on situation. Won't move their hands in different spots on the bat or their feet in the batters box. It's all swing from the heals gripping the bottom of the bat. Pitchers and defense have gotten smarter and better . Hitters have not and will not . That's why so many teams have trouble scoring.

99 again.

I think that given the choice between LaRoche working on bunting every day to get the skill down and taking BP and working on trying to hit HR, he's probably going to choose the latter most of the time.

Come in earlier and work on bunting in the indoor cages. When are the Sox going to stop signing NL sluggers like Dunn/LaRoche. Sign some guys who can actually hit.

99 mph on that pitch from rodon!!!

Impressive by Rodon..

Maybe we can do something offensively this inning?

Herm and Robin took slow walk out to mound after Rodon landed awkwardly/jumped after throwing that pitch, looks like it was nothing.

Great post. Hitters don't care so they trot up to the plate with their .245 batting averages and .280 OBPs. LaRoche's batting stance and approach sickens me. Gillaspie is just not a big leaguer; that's his problem. Flowers is a once a week player who runs into a home run now and again playing every day. LaRoche is what he is ... a lousy DH. Melky is ridiculously bad when he's not on steroids.

Alexei can't hit anything. 90-92 mph fastballs and he can't get around on them anymore. Maybe he should back up in the box finally

Another pop up on a 92 mph fastball right down the middle.

He's also using way too big a bat like Soriano used to.

BTW, what is the Sox motivation for keeping Sanchez in the majors? Do they actually think he someday will hit enough to be a big leaguer? Can't believe there's not somebody in the organization ready to take his at bats.

how long is this Carlos Sanchez thing really gonna last

You would think he would make adjustments since he can't hit the ball hard anymore, too stubborn

Leadoff single and Rodon at 97 pitches. Hopefully manager was smart enough to have someone up in the pen to start the inning.

Man I really hate the feeling that this game is over

Much more impressive stats for Webb so far this year than last. 10/2 K/BB.

One good thing about Abreu being so tall is that when the infielders don't pay any attention to each other and all call for the ball, Abreu can just catch the thing and everyone else will just bounce off of him.

Looks like Herm tending to a blister on one of Rodon's fingers.
