The Miami Marlins have hired Don Mattingly to be their next manager, according to multiple media reports.

VICE Sports, citing sources, reported that the deal is for four years. The Associated Press reported that the official announcement likely will be made after the World Series.

Same as Ozzie's deal, in terms of length.

Does Dan Jennings go back to the GM/VP spot?

How could anybody work for that management team? Mattingly should have waited for a better job. He'd have gotten one. I guess there are worst things than getting fired one year into a four-year deal.

That, and the almost certain at least 2 years of getting paid to lounge around.
