September 14, 200322 yr If JM didn't screw up in the 2000 playoffs with those two, and the wells and ritchie trade never happened, don't you think the rotation would have been interesting? Starting Rotation Colon Buerhle Parque Sirotka Loaiza BP-Garland, Koch, Wright, Wells, Fogg, Marte, Schoenweis, Sullivan, Wunsch...
September 14, 200322 yr Anybody have any idea how Sirotka did this year? Did he pitch at all? I have not heard ONE WORD about him this year. I liked him a lot and I really hope he can come back, EVEN if it's for the Lovable Losers.

September 14, 200322 yr and i doubt we would have 2 garlands and maybe none of these other deals would have happened... i like it better without parque but i hope the best for sirotka
September 14, 200322 yr Heck, why not bring up Wilson Alvarez who has the best ERA in the majors in the 2nd half of the season. In all seriousness, Parque and Sirotka were gonna get injured. Siro was injured because he went to Japan and Parque got injured for whatever reason. Parque was never overworked or anything.

I wish him the best, wherever he ends up.
September 14, 200322 yr If JM didn't screw up in the 2000 playoffs with those two, and the wells and ritchie trade never happened Now how in hell can you remotely blame JM for anything with Parque and Sirotka? How in hell can you do that?
September 14, 200322 yr i checked the baseball america website i don't think sirotka pitched for the third straight year always liked him -- a lot. hope he comes back somewhere. never wanted to see him leave, especially for Phat Man Wells.
September 14, 200322 yr Um did you watch the 2000 playoffs?? Parque and Sirotka and Baldwin for that matter pitched their asses off. JM didn't screw anything up in the ALDS as far as I'm concerned. The offense just choked.

The offense just choked. DK, I might just write you into my will for that post... and nuke, I met Parque, thought he was a great guy - in I were in a fight, he'd be the eone person I could count on to keep battling despite the odds - all the parque haters (which I don't understand) will come out now but I liked the guy's attitude. He was no quitter. And Sirotka - always liked him too - felt really bad we lost both of them but if the D Wells trade hadn't happened, what makes anyone think Siro would still be pitching, or parque for that matter?
September 14, 200322 yr Seems like evereyone really liked Sirotka.... yeah, I think everyone did/does like Siro - he was a hard working player who had success and as likable in a low key way player as we ever had
September 14, 200322 yr I do miss Siro. He was a gutsy guy who didn't have the most talent in the world, but that didn't slow him down for a second.
September 14, 200322 yr I remember him pitching like a complete game where he gave up one run on two hits, and i don't think it was earned, against Pedro and lost. He gave his all every time he went out there.
September 15, 200322 yr i was at that game Siro pitched it was in late August at Fenway on a Sunday afternoon. I believe the run was unearned because of a -- believe it or not -- Valentin error. Sox had a chance to score in the ninth, but couldn't get a big hit. Von Joshua got tossed because he laid a towel down in the dugout to show John Hirshbeck how wide his strike zone was. Siro literally gave his career to the Sox. Pitched lotso innings. Pitched hurt in the Division series against Seattle. The pitching was actually pretty good against Seattle, considering Parque, Baldwin, Sirotka and Eldred all were sore or shut down. Foulke gave it up in one game in Comiskey as I remember. And the offense was a total no-show. TOTAL. Three full years on the sidelines tells me Sirotka will need a miracle to come back.

Starting Rotation Colon Buerhle Parque Sirotka Loaiza BP-Garland, Koch, Wright, Wells, Fogg, Marte, Schoenweis, Sullivan, Wunsch... Wells is the Pen?? NOT!!! Sirotka and Parque were Hurt. I think Parque will probably get another chance as a situational Lefty. Or Maybe he'll go to Japan, Taiwan or the Mexican league
September 15, 200322 yr If JM didn't screw up in the 2000 playoffs wsc....weren't you like 7 in 2000?

LMAO.....10 starting pitchers on your staff is interesting though.
September 15, 200322 yr Parque was never overworked or anything. That's because he was never able to get past the 5th or 6th inning
September 15, 200322 yr all the parque haters (which I don't understand) will come out now but I liked the guy's attitude. He was no quitter. The Parque-haters have been vocal for awhile now cw. Butter really turned off alot of fans when the Sun-Times printed that Butter-b****-Fest when he was in the White Sox minor league system. Butter's, "whoa is me..... I've done everything they wanted me to, but I'm still in the minor leagues when I should be in the Major Leagues, what else do I have to do?", while only being able to go 5-6 innings in the minor leagues with an astronomical ERA", pissed off alot of Sox fans. Then to come up here and get OWNED by Cameron when he's "ready"? Most Sox fans said, "f*** him" after that. I know I did.
