Even if he regresses to a 2.5 WAR guy, that's still fair value for $16M a year and makes him a solid #3 starter for a lot of teams. The risk, IMO, is his healthy, not his skills. I was thinking Lackey would look great as our #4 but $16 mil seemed like a lot. Then I remembered Danks is getting that as probably our 5th starter. Lackey has shown to be a very good postseason pitcher.
