Why didnt Sands run that out?

Let them score first. Not a good sign for a team like the Sox mired in a slump

They have got to get Ventura now before he starts to settle in. They need to be patient early, especially seeing Ventura was a little erratic in the 1st.

Lineup with Sanchez and Sands not going to score.

Just seems like a lineup where every other hitter should be batting 9th in an average lineup. Instead they are batting 5th or 7th

This dead ass team could use a brawl.

I don't think a brawl magically makes your team more talented. We're more than a handful of pieces away from being a legit contender.

It would be nice seeing a multi-run homer by the Sox in this game, or a couple solo shots.

Sanchez strikes out so much for someone with no power. He is just not a big league hitter. He's the offensive version of Erik Johnson.

All we're short is a 4 starter, a 5 starter, a lefty specilist in the pen. An elite set up man. A lefty power hitter. A quality pinch hitter utility player. Power bat off the bench. And prospects that will net anything in a trade.

other than that, we're good to go.

Other than Frazier who's gonna hit a HR? Take a look at this group were sending out today, theres no power.

Well said, the free agents flopping have exposed how mediocre the talent level on the team is.

Behind hitters, deep into counts... what new

In his defense, pitchers on this team have to be perfect lately or they lose. It's tough

This team is mentally f***ed right now. It's the same script each game it seems.

KC is such a terrible matchup for this team.

Amazing how many two strike hits they allow

I agree not worth a 25 man roster spot.

More ducks on the pond for underwhelming starter carlos rodon. he has taken another step this year - back.

Melky. Sands has some power. Eaton has some power. Lawrie has known to crush one every once in a while. There are more people in this lineup who can hit a bomb than Frazier.

Rodon just can't seem to put guys away when needed. He is allowing too many runners and if not careful will pay

Relying on Melky and Eaton for power is a recipe for failure. Relying on Sands to hit bombs vs a power righty is laughable. This team hasn't hit a homer on this home stand.

Yeah, either he's always behind in the count, or if he's ahead it seems he has trouble making "that one pitch" more often than not.

Not saying they should rely on them...all I said was it would be nice to see a homerun from someone in the lineup today.
