Draft Profile: Dakota Hudson, RHP

Featured Replies

Next up in our draft profiles: RHP Dakota Hudson

The Sox have been tied to him, and he does profile with their traditional take, in addition to being probably the best college arm who'd be available at 10.

Nice article, I have a feeling people will get fixated on the 5th starter comment by KLaw

Probably my worst case scenario.

Same things were said about Wacha and Nola...maybe not 5th starter, but 3/4ish.

Big game for Hudson today in Sec Tourney

I don't think Hudson is a #5 but there are 10 players in the draft better than him and the White Sox pick 10th.

Pretty sure Hudson's game is on SEC Network tonight

Interesting article. I'm wondering if he would be MLB ready if he didn't go to college.

He's been on a streak, he was pretty good his last start. I'd think he'd be an under slot guy.

Nobody said that about Nola.

I thought the consensus was that he was going to be the fastest mover and was the most refined pitcher available, but wasn't projected to be the ace of a rotation...?

I guess your argument is that he's (and the projections/scouts had him as) more like a 2 vs. a 3?

Hudson looks filthy. Entire Red Sox front office is at the game

Will Clark, Rafael Palmeiro and Bobby Thigpen all came from Mississippi State, right?

Red Sox draft 12th.

Definitely could see the A's or Tigers going after him.

Not sure about the Padres or Marlins.

Preller is all about upside but he prefers high school players
