I thought the strike 3 pitch was kind of high.

On the replay from both angles it was pretty much right across his waste.

 

It was definitely way too close a pitch to take with 2 strikes.

 

It was also a hanger which he should be able to destroy... but he isn't too good at recognizing breaking balls...
