I think this is only because a guy like Robbie can coast with a manager like Jerry. Jerry won't say anything to a great veteran like Robbie cause he might actually argue back. Where as a with a decent manager he might actually have to face the music once and a while. Those comments really pissed me off. We should get Ray Knight in here to coach.

September 20, 200322 yr Ray Knight is from the Reds. I think he managed for them and if I'm not mistaken he was a very respected pitching coach for a long time.

He managed the Reds and was criticized for being too tough on the players, too critical,etc. He was mainly a third baseman for the Reds and Mets -- he scored the winning run when Buckner made his famous erro at first in the World Series
September 20, 200322 yr I don't think that Knight was a pitching coach. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Knight was an infielder for the 86 Mets, and he was a coach in the bigs for a bit recently.
