  1. Since Foulke was my favorite Sox pitcher until he was traded, I'm still kinda bitter about this deal. Look at his numbers this year, kinda makes me sick to my stomach that we gave him up for Billy Botch. 3-0 record, 15 saves, 30.2 innings pitched, 33 strikeouts, 2.64 era, 6 BB, 0.91 WHIP Based on my calculations, statistically there are only two better closers in baseball than Keith right now and they'd be Gagne and Smoltz. I still cheer for Keith, even though he is no longer with us. Glad to see him dominating once again.
  2. Against Gagne, think again my friend.
  3. It couldn't hurt, GO OUT ONE TWO THREE DAMN IT.
  4. Mags flies out, this team hasn't figured out what clutch hitting is.
  5. Frank just looked like a fool on that at-bat, what was he doing on the second pitch?
  6. Manos walks, here comes Shueeeeeyyyyyyyyy
  7. And meanwhile, Cleveland is handling Arizona. Pathetic. :fyou
  8. If we don't score in the 8th, we won't score off Gagne, so basically you can consider it over after the 8th if we don't score.
  9. Buehrle should have been kept in, he was cruising. One out is a big deal, but you gotta roll the dice and try to score in the 8th or 9th. Another example of Manuel being a complete moron.
  10. Haven't we tried wishful thinking all season? It sure as hell hasn't worked.
  11. MB didn't look very happy on the bench. This guy should have at least 5 or 6 wins by now, not two. This is ridiculous. Score some runs for our ace. :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou
  12. MB does deserve better, which is exactly why I won't blame him when he bolts for St. Louis in a few years.
  13. Flash enters, here we go.
  14. Hate to see MB pulled, his pitch count wasn't much over 80. I think he had the distance in him.
  15. Rack em up, double play ends the first.
  16. No player would post on a fan site regarding prospect rankings, period. And if they do, they need to recognize that they are public figures who need to learn how to deal with criticism. Case closed.
  17. Seems like our pitchers are always getting hurt in the minors.
  18. 1993 and 2000 were my two favorites until the playoffs when we were handled by Toronto and Seattle respectively. If I had to pick one or the other, I'd go with 2000 because Buehrle was on that team starting in July and he is my favorite Sox pitcher to date. In fact I was at Commiskey for his debut when he threw one inning.
  19. I subscribe to TSN's fantasy service and I emailed them a question about PK and they posted it on their site. Here's the url for anyone else who is a TSN member http://fantasysource.sportingnews.com/base...l/20030605.html Q: Is it finally time to give up on Paul Konerko? After his breakout season last year, many fantasy owners expected much of the same this year. However, he has been a total disappointment. What's your advice on what to do with Konerko in a 5x5 12-team league? Alex Louisville, Ky. A: We have had a lot of inquires about Konerko -- for obvious reasons. We wouldn't give up on him, but he shouldn't be in your starting lineup, either. The disturbing thing about Konerko is that his slide didn't start this season. Last year, he hit .328-20-71 before the all-star break, but just .270-7-33 after the break. We aren't sure what is going on here, but it's not good. He could be hiding an injury or just going through a terrible slump. The later is probably most likely. You probably picked Konerko pretty high, so don't cut ties with him. He could find his swing and breakout in a big way. Just stick him on your bench and hope for the best. Another possibility is a trade. Don't just give him away, though. Jeff Paur Poor Paulie, I hope he gets it together soon.
  20. Joe Cr....wait he never does s***. I'll go with Carlos Lee.
