  1. Unbelievable story if you have the time to read it. It's crazy how the Times could have let something like this go on for this long. Really interesting story and very bizarre to say the least. http://www.nytimes.com/2003/05/11/national/11PAPE.html
  2. I don't care about respecting him, I'm just stating the facts. Nothing personal against Parque.
  3. The team he is on right now shows you exactly how good of a player he really is, enough said, end of argument.
  4. Probably, then drove the getaway car.
  5. No way and it won't be close.
  6. Hopefully KW was a part of the crime, maybe as the getaway car. Hey, there's always wishful thinking
  7. Yea, I wish we had that pedestrian traveling 82 MPH fastball too that gave up 3 HR to Mike Cameron in one game too.
  8. I think it was like $10 or $12, don't totally remember, it was a while back.

    Line-up

No way Borchard will bat 3rd. He's struggling to hit .260 at AAA. Don't get me wrong, I love him more than anyone else, but there's just no way he'll hit 3rd. I see him in the 7th or 8th spot until he gets really comfortable in the majors.
  10. I got one outside of the Cell that reads: On the front: Cubs Magic Number: 911 On the back: Cubs Suck
  11. Whatever the excuse, it doesn't matter. I just want him gone.
  12. You forgot to mention that his management of pitching staffs is ABSOLUTELY the worst in baseball. There's no way I take him over JM with this flaw in his style. Buehrle and Colon would throw far too much and he'd kill the confidence of the young guys overusing them. No way.
  13. http://www.charlotteknights.com/news/508.htm JB also had a double, here's to hoping he gets hot
  14. I care, but I'll also be pissed if he gets a shot in the majors before Almonte. That guy is long overdue for a shot, the Sox must not like him for some reason. Any insight on why Almonte has yet to get a shot....He's 26 I believe and has been lights out in Charlotte the past two seasons.
  15. Sean Lowe - P, Royals May 7, 1:01 p.m. The Royals purchased Lowe's contract from Triple-A Omaha. Will we see him this year? Most likely.
  16. One week, perhaps. One month, excessive and not needed. What does it solve? Not a damn thing.
  17. It's ridiculous he was suspended, what has it come to when people say something that is meant as not being serious and then it goes to a one month suspension. Unreal, Bob Ryan is a great columnist.
  18. I didn't criticize him when he didn't talk. I actually didn't care because I didn't have to wake up and read these stupid ass quotes about how we need to play harder yada yada yada. No kidding we do. Thanks for pointing out the obvious Frank.
  19. "This [speculation] happens every year with different managers," Frank Thomas said. "It's part of the business. But we have to worry about what's in this locker room right now—keeping it together and playing hard." Can the players rally around a beleaguered manager? "We need to rally around for ourselves," Thomas said. "We've stunk it up. We have to play winning baseball and put things in perspective, man per man." Then do it and quit talking about it. I am really tired of him and Konerko being quoted everyday and they are two of the main reasons that the offense is stinking it up. QUIT TALKING AND PLAY!!!!!!!!!!!! :fyou

    Ryan Meaux

He's also already 24, which is kinda old for A ball. Ring is pitching at a higher class and with nearly the same effectiveness. Meaux is a fringe prospect at best for the Sox, but his numbers are indeed good. He could pan out as a lefty specialist one day, but I highly doubt it.
