I mean even Getz can’t be pleased with this. The offense is on an historically bad pace. I doubt he projected that.

From the few at bats I’ve seen, they have no plan at all. Also, does Stone always get called a “legend”? Holy s%*#
Every time. It’s getting quite old

It's grade 2.
Who reported that? Haven’t seen it yet. Just curious

When is Clevinger going to be ready? Also, have they totally reversed course on Nastrini? It seems like he was a lock for the major league rotation after one turn through the rotation. I’m not complaining as we’re only like a week away from securing an extra year of team control, but it seems like they have pivoted on their plans for some reason.
The initial word after signing was early May.

He wouldn’t have to when the Sox could have called up Barlow, Anderson, Touki, Kuhl, Woodford, etc
Those guys just make this problem worse as they all would need 40 man slots. Also worth noting that Barlow is on the 60 day MILb IL and Woodford gave up 9 runs in a 1/3 or an inning the other day against a AAA team.

So why did they pull Colas last night? They must really hate him.
I think they’ve made that quite clear. But not sure on why they pulled Colas.

Sounds like they’re bringing Sosa up. Not really sure what that accomplishes. Guess Pillar is our new CF.

To be fair, the injury in 21 was a complete tear. While this could ultimately be that as well, it could also be a more mild strain. But best case he’s probably out 3-4 weeks. Just brutal.

What happened with Robert and how bad did it look?
Hammy or calf. Hopped to 2B. Didn’t look good

This Wilson cat is nails. Everyone hated his inclusion on the Cease deal but he could end up adding a couple more prospects to the fold this summer.

Not gonna lie, Brebbia has looked extremely hittable in this SSS.

Good God. I did not think the Sox front office could get worse. I stand corrected.
A live arm lottery ticket would have been nice but you’re not exactly in a position of power at the negotiating table when the guys already been DFA.

Good lord Benintendi looks cooked. He can’t possibly be this bad.

Post DFA, Jrod traded to Phillies for JRs favorite - cash considerations. Optioned to AA.

Hmmm. I’d rather just throw Speas in the pen and see what we have than retain Leone/Shaw.

I just did not understand the rationale for trading Burger. Is it that they were risking him becoming injury prone again or that his power hitting was going away? Was it just that he was getting too old and they needed to get starting pitching? Or that they wanted to have a fire sale to replenish the farm?
I think it’s that he has no position, doesn’t get on base particularly well, doesn’t have a body that ages well, and has been injury prone. I think trading Burger was a perfectly fine thing to do when your team needed to improve on defense and get away from RH free swingers. You can argue the return, but the jury is still very much out on Eder.
I get Burger was an easy guy to root for him. I like(d) him too. But worst trade in franchise history? My lord, what a take!

Has this been finalized yet? What’s the holdup? Sox are going to need a 5th starter soon you’d think lol
Pending a physical. You'd certainly think they'd want to get that done ASAP, but also will have to make 40 man space so Sox are probably OK slow rolling it for now.

Charlotte sure putting on a show tonight. Gonna get 30 burgered by the Os prospects.
