LOL. Kaner is completely untouchable unless the words Stamkos, Sid, or Malkin are involved.

Yup. Good luck to them though.

Hawks are in much better shape following this championship. They have some cap room and some younger players in Rockford who about ready. Morin, Hayes and Pirri.

Last time around was ugly. This time they have depth and they aren't cap f***ed.

Judging from the early social media reports, I am so happy with my decision to not head down to the parade. And it sounds like the average Blackhawk fan is a 19 year old girl.

Oh man, my train sucked this morning. Teenagers everywhere. They're loud and don't understand that if you stop in the middle of a crowded union station people can't get past. Just the worst.

I am officially an old geezer.

One drunk teenager threw up on a woman's head. Another whipped his dick out and started peeing in a cup. I somehow managed not to kill myself during the ride.

HS/college kids have nothing else to do today, so it'll attract every last one of them.

We talked about this before, but though the intensity and depth of the Hawks run is not the same as 2010, it's on a much wider scale. Ratings higher, more merch...just overall more people involved this time around. There were a decent amount of people lined up at 9:00 on Washington at the start area - that didn't happen last time.

Ratings were down this year compared to the last cup run.

Not sure that's right.

Plus basically every top 10 rated Hawks regular season game took place this year.

Deadspin had a few pictures of him up, there is a huge knot on his cheek where the puck hit him.

That's where I saw them originally, but rather than post the link and show the pictures, ie DISCREDITING MYSELF, I figured I'd just say "Shaw's face is funked" so as to make people believe that Andrew Shaw and I are close pals and only when I saw him for the first time since his cup run did I see his face.

Same here, although I must fully admit 18-year old me would be heading downtown on the Blue Line right now, drinking a 20 oz. "Sprite".

That early in the morning? I weep for our nation.

Think you mean "that late at night."

yeah that was a terrible morning ride.

I was just talking locally. Game 2 was down 38%. Game 5 down 15% and the clincher down 8%.

It seems more brutal in the city this time then last time. I dont know why.

Everything gets worse when you get older. Except Scotch.

No I mean in terms of getting to my office, roads being closed, etc.

The people didnt really phase me.

People in my office were pretty pissed that they waited an hour or so on the parade route and the buses went by in about 2 seconds.

I took a video, it was a total of 2 minutes I believe.

These videos they made are not good. I didn't think it was possible to take all the drama out of such an historic Stanley Cup win, but they did.
