The fact that you can't even name one of these guys and give a reason says to me you have no idea what a good pitching prospect is, strange or otherwise. It's kind of prickish to pretend you're interested in somebody's thinking, ask them to write up a list, then piss on it.

Oh, sure. Martin, Burke and Drohan are all recovering from surgery, and most probably won't be starting this year. And with the wave at AA, this is probably their window to establish themselves. Cannon's already been bounced out, but he'll most likely be getting August/Sept starts.

The Sox have about 15 good starting pitching prospects scattered over 4-5 levels of minor leagues.

It certainly seems that Getz relies on his scouting departments more than Hahn and KW ever did.

You are totally writing them off. Prospects have their leagues adjust to them. They slump. Then they adjust, and streak. Then they get promoted, and play against older, more experienced players and slump again. You don't seem to acknowledge this. You just keep jamming that square peg into the round hole of "I hate Chris Getz!!! He sucks!!!"

This is just silly. Most guys in AA are trade pieces. That's not a marker for "how far away" this team is. Your projected 3B, SS, 2B and C are at AA or higher. We have 10 projectable starting pitchers at AA or higher.
