  1. Pitching coach out to walk Keller through pitching to Acuña?
  2. Unless Derek Hill has some residual pain that makes him almost unplayable, I would think Rikuu is the one to go with Pereira comes back.
  3. Personally, I could do without the "rivalry series" and just play the Cubs as many times as they play the Cards, Pirates and Reds. But yeah, I really like playing the whole league.
  4. When the Charlotte Knights drink 40-dogs of Old English 800 in the parking lots of Super 8s in Durham, Rochester and other AAA cities, Korey Lee tells his teammates headed for Chicago about the hatred he has for every single baseball team in the majors, and how, to a man, the current Chicago White Sox must harbor that hatred, and seek revenge with every single cell in their body.
  5. The Phillies swept us in 2024 on our path to a 3-22 start. It would be nice to pay them back.
  6. Don't fool around with us, White Sox!
  7. Chris Getz does not know what a day off is.
  8. Billy Carlson, Ky Bush and two mopes. Git R Done.
  9. Passan floating Reid Detmers as a type of pitcher who could fit in the Sox plans.
  10. That's my point. As constructed today, I don't see anybody at AAA outside of Braden M. who would push Beni off this team. Maybe Mune or Pereira creates the squeeze where they have to decide between Beni and Gonzo. If Gonzo is hitting, I think that's what does it.
  11. Maybe the Twins seriously kicked the tires on Fedde back in 2014 and he's still mad at them for picking Nick Gordon #5.
  12. Meidroth isn't better against RH pitchers, and Ant-man isn't better against LH pitchers. On any given day, one of those guys is worse than Benintendi. Okay, if a lefty's on the mound, Grichuk has better numbers. So, again, depending on the other team's pitcher, you have 4-5 better hitters in the lineup. I'd not bat Peters 1-4, as I don't think he has a refined-enough approach to hit high up in the lineup. I would sit Beni against lefties. But if a right-handed pitcher's on the mound, I think Beni's got to be one of the first 4 hitters in the lineup.
  13. On any given day, your defensive lineup looks like: c - Quero/Romo 1B - Gonzo 2B - Meidroth SS - Colson 3B - Vargas LF - Ant-man CF - Peters RF - Grichuk/Nishida DH - Beni Right now, that's only 3 hitters who are clearly better than Benintendi on any given day. (Colson, Vargas, and either Ant or Droth, depending on the handedness of the pitcher). Maybe Tristan Peters could be in there, but all he gives you is OBP.
  14. To who? Maybe Pittsburgh or the D-Backs could use a LHH DH. If the Sox find themselves in the thick of a wild card or divisional race, why would they cut a league average LHH bat for nothing? If they had a complete masher sitting at AAA looking for some PAs, maybe. When Mune comes off the IL, maybe if Double Live Gonzo's raking, Gonz stays, and somebody else has to go. But for most of this season, all the talk of DFAing Acuña, Peters, Beni, Hill, Quero, or whomever is just navel-gazing, as there isn't anybody right there to replace him who would be substantially better.
  15. Ready since Beni's HR.
  16. I think Will messed around in April, and wound up with nobody left, so Beni played RF.
  17. I think when all is said and done, he'll post as a league average hitter on the season. Not good enough for DH, but he's not as bad as the derision he accumulates.
  18. C'mon, Double Live. Pick up Droth with a 3-hit game
  19. Ant-man, making a mountain out of an ant-hill!!
  20. Twins just got Rikuu-rolled.
  21. The Tigers have a nice, young team, but the Orioles are an example of how that window can slam shut out of nowhere.
