  1. The Sox are a minor market team in a major market. Blame the owner if you want.
  2. Woe is Lo wontlastfive.
  3. Two minor league RHP deals with Allen Beer and Vladimir Nunez.
  4. Ed Farmer is absent next four games for personal reasons.
  5. Forecast improving for 7:00 and 8:00 hours.
  6. Whoa summer Saturday night is Sox baseball at it's best with actual people in the stands.
  7. Waking up and your team is no longer 30 under. Thank you God for small favors. Now we have a pathway to quality even if it does not come to pass.
  8. The guy with the career resume gets the nod but Gio could be the next guy in.
  9. But would we trade Yonder and Jay for Avi. jk
  10. Luke Voit was pretty ticked at almost getting buzzed in the face after his HR. I don't think the head should be a target.

So we have a pitcher who comes along as a pleasant surprise and now he may not be ready until he is 28. Something is very wrong. The game may not be able to sustain all of these pitching injuries.
  12. Eloy's bunting skills are pathetic. He needs more seasoning in the DSL.
  13. Stan Bahnsen went 21-16 then 18-21. Does anyone remember Fritz Peterson and Mike Kekich.
  14. There were classic rockers who did not know how to react to the whole gender bender thingy. Mostly it was regret that classic rockers felt with disco pushing more serious and substantial music out of the way. Times change. I don't recall any ethnic cleansing and most rockers loved and merged with the Motown scene. That was a great part of the 60's and 70's.
  15. Not a Harry fan. He had a serious illness but was not nice to people. He treated Milo badly too. I don't know how Stone put up with him.
  16. Jason was actually funny. Gregorious had Elton John surgery.
  17. Should have been a Sox lifer. Injuries suck but you have to protect yourself.
  18. About three weeks before LaRussa was brought in.
  19. Most white bands were coming up with a disco song or two. You had to keep up. The great sadness was the fading of the Woodstock era and classic rock.
  20. When the mid-70's hit my band couldn't figure out whether to dress like boys or girls so they broke up and said screw it. I'll take Steely Dan with The Fez.
  21. What I regret is that Bronzeville was once the jazz capitol of the universe and those traditions have been thoroughly dissed.
  22. It was a Mike Veeck fiasco. Jimmie Piersall was looking for Steve Dahl to kick his azz. We always went to Detroit games so my brother bought tickets. I declined because I already knew what would happen. The players were dodging frisbee records game one and it got worse from there. RF was ruined and they later poured sand all around. Claudell Washington refused to run after balls which inspired the best-ever banner Washington Slept Here. Sorry I missed the political message but music began a long period of devolution thereby.
  23. ALC breaking: The Royals have moved to Omaha. In fact they are hosting the Tigers there tonite.
  24. Joe did a lot of belly flops and paid the price. Not worth it.
  25. 1964 Sox won 98 and their last nine. Yanks won 99 and their last ten.
