  1. You know what would be real nice? Lopez gets this final out and then Eloy leads off with a bomb.
  2. 3rd time through Rey... come on. If he lets a man on. I would get somebody warming up.
  3. Strong this. Fairly certain I watched Abreu strike out and McCann ground into a DP. Not sure what Ricky did.
  4. Has not been a pretty day for Abreu up there. Somebody needs to come through, come on.
  5. I am positive most of the time, I would say. This has been a brutal series man. lol. Garbage throughout? I got negative when it looked like Lopez was falling apart. Just like the majority of the fan-base likely did. For Christ's sake. You're way too wrapped up in the aside comments people throw out onto a game thread. We all react to the ups/downs of games in different fashions. That's what makes the forum interesting. I have never permeated a thread with negativity. Hell, I was the one on Friday night defending Nova's recent performance after he had just surrendered 3 early earned runs. The reverse jinxing thing was largely from ONE game thread and if you didn't think that was creepily awesome... you're just not fun to watch baseball with. You're also way too caught up with how "smart" or "dumb" you are perceived as by other posters. WAAAAAAYYY too concerned with what people will say about your post later. I say what I am feeling or thinking in a moment. If I am wrong, who cares? That's how it goes. Just relax dude. Watch the game. Stop trying to police others for totally benign posts. This forum and these game threads not that serious. Cheers.
  6. But none of them went on a message board and essentially guaranteed it. What's the difference if they say it out loud or on a message board? What good did those posts do in hindsight? What good do any posts about a baseball game that we have no involvement in do, in hindsight or in real time? Lol Again, let it play out. I'll enjoy the game as I please.
  7. In any other sport, I agree. I like the laid back atmosphere of a baseball game. It makes the tense moments where everyone is on their feet that much more enjoyable.
  8. I was one of probably thousands of White Sox fans who was thinking that man.
  9. In a way, I kind of want to shove that cow bell up that guy's ass. F**k all that
  10. Yup. This is Rey's trademark beginning to a meltdown.
  11. It's happening again... It's so predictable. So f'ing predictable.
  12. Short guys have it tough.
  13. This is how it always happens with Lopez. Lose ONE hitter like he just did... and then the floodgates seem to open up. Let's see if he's for real today.
  14. Sit him down, Rey
  15. His BABIP throughout the first half isn't sustainable. He's been undeniably great and I am by no means insinuating that he won't continue to turn out very good production. However, he was never going to hit .325-.330 with a .900+ OPS for the entire season. His average has dropped from .330 to .315 over his past 10 games. He only has 2 XBH during that time. He's 2 for 8 in this series. A little bit of a regression was inevitable and I believe we're viewing it happen.
  16. Eloy with nothing but weak groundballs this series. Jesus
  17. You are now witnessing the regression of James McCann. Enjoy
  18. Yeah, both were bunting for hits. They were not giving up the out. That's not disputable. When you're sacrificing, you square up early, don't care if the D knows you're bunting and see the ball down on the ground. Cordell and Garcia squared late while positioning themselves for a sprint to the bag. Cordell almost assuredly was on his own. I'm guessing Leury may have been too, but perhaps in that case Ricky liked the idea again. Regardless, we were not "giving up" an out.
  19. Jesus Christ, Yoan This inning should be over
  20. That was a bunt for a hit. Which is usually the player's decision.
  21. Yeah, same. However, I won't believe it until I see him do it the 2nd time through. He usually erupts around the 4th or 5th.
  22. I feel like Rondon is actually a formidable hitter. He hasn't been to this point, but I don't necessarily hate when he's in there vs LHP. Two very hard hit balls and RBI's in his last two AB's.
  23. God... my reverse jinx is really something. Even when I'm not trying. I pressed "submit reply" on this as Jon Jay doubled.
  24. You can already tell this is going to be another day where the bats are fast asleep.
  25. Two impressive K's. A 4 pitch walk and a bad pitch to Olson which nearly went out to center. His stuff looks great, though. No doubt. Hopefully he can maintain command of it.
