  1. Giolito has evolved into the right-handed Robbie Ray.
  2. How many celebs are really going to go and spend an overnight in Dubuque County, Iowa? I'm sure a few of the more legitimate baseball fan celebs will make an appearance. However, I don't exactly get the feeling that TMZ is going to find the event worthy enough to unleash their paparazzi all over Dyersville. lol
  3. Christ almighty, bah humbug to you as well. lol Yes, this is very unique and I love it. Combines a fictional/fantasy masterpiece about a love for the game of baseball with the real thing. What kind of a devoted contrarian does it take to not love this? You're really complaining about the "gate" it will cost the White Sox for one game? lol. Goodness gracious. Bah humbug, indeed.
  4. Welp... Giolito has basically pitched himself out of a QS chance. He'll be at 70 pitches by the end of this inning.
  5. Their lineup honestly wouldn't have much success in AAA. It's comically bad.
  6. He takes so long to gather and throw. Which wouldn't even be the end of the world if he was gaining ground and momentum towards home plate. However, he literally stops to field the ball on the ground flat footed and then has to restart. Often times he fields the ball and just stands straight up. His throw is all arm, he gets nothing behind it. I don't even really get how you can get through baseball for this long without learning these things. Vincent Velasquez knew how to do it and he's a damn pitcher.
  7. Awful? Lol I think you're the one who needs to relax and drop the hyperbole.
  8. Oh, no doubt. I was simply speaking on the top portion. The bottom has been a black hole all season. At the break, our 1-4 trailed only Boston in terms of batting average.
  9. Yeah, even with Tim and Eloy back... this has been a real awakening as to how much Moncada has meant to this offense. 1-5 in this lineup goes from being somewhat respectable to brutal.
  10. Well, when you're facing the juggernaut that is SPENCER TURNBULL... you can only do so much.
  11. Very strong first from Giolito
  12. Why would you not care about our highest paid player not being good? lol
  13. If we get this final out here... Do they send Quinn out again?
  14. Seriously, I agree. This is one of the most memorable moments of the season.
  15. Definitely some recency bias here. People said the same things about Matheny. Worse, maybe.
  16. Indeed. I can actually laugh at it. If we were in Philly's shoes. I'd be going mad.
  17. Because fielding a ground ball in the outfield, properly crow hopping and executing that throw is a whole other universe from pitching.
  18. Have you ever had a dream about watching one of your favorite sports teams? Like insanely weird shit always happens and that inning is honestly something out of one of those dreams.
  19. Fulmer looks leaner. Like he got in shape. He was getting chubby before.
  20. Watching this team hit is sad. It's basically just a waiting game until Philly inevitably scores and wins. I hate to say
  21. This. I still agree with the decision, but I think it's time to admit it didn't work out.
  22. Reed is perpetually down 0-2 in the count. They should just have him start his AB's that way. Save time
  23. I think it's comparable. However, yes... Lopez has been equally as frustrating and over a longer period of time. He's also a veteran, so it's worse. Lately, he's been pretty pleasant to watch. We'll see if that continues. Not to jinx it, but Cease just wrapped up another quick inning 2nd time through the top. Looking solid. 6 outs from a real smooth QS. Perhaps this will be the start when he puts it together start-to-finish?
  24. Yeah, me neither. Just making observations.
