Good lord... is that Roger Clemens or Jake Junis? There's no way his slider is this good. lol

Come on Moncada... snap out of it

Leury trying to raise that 3% walk rate. lol

Oh my bleeping god... This is just utterly embarrassing. Jake Junis is f'ing terrible and he looks like he's pitching against a JV high school team.

If we get blanked by Jake Junis and he K's 10+ hitters. The team should seriously consider just walking hand-in-hand into an ocean somewhere. See how far they can swim...

Jesus Lucas. Calm down.

That's somewhere between the equivalent of legging out a double and a triple on that ball. Which would be very hard.

Do guys with average speed usually score from 1st on bloopers to short RF?

I would say that's the only thing I am not a fan of with Eloy to this point. His cavalier manner on the field can be infuriating.

If either Eloy OR Jay run... they might have doubles.

Sox @ KC - 715pm CT (Giolito v. Junis)
Yeah, I was saying that yesterday. This was the inevitable bit of regression that was sure to come.

This team is currently caught in an offensive black hole. This is bad... If Moncada is about to enter a funk, this is about to be borderline unwatchable.

Luis Robert kills it in his first game in AAA
All fans believe in winning above everything. Including those in favor of "tanking" or "building"... whatever we want to call it. That's the point of being a fan... you want to win. I would personally rather pickup a young player who could help us try to win a world series each of the next 4-5 seasons. As opposed to keep a veteran who could help us beat Detroit in September this year. But hey... that's just me being "flip happy". Wanting to win a world series in 2020 or 2021 instead of wanting to beat the Royals in September IS a belief in "winning above everything". I would say it's actually a much stronger belief and requires that much more dedication to winning. You want to win a bunch of meaningless, small battles which will be forgotten weeks after they are played out. I want to win multiple wars that will be remembered for eternity.

You're really diving into the semantics here and convoluting the argument. Call it rebuilding, tanking, etc... whatever you want. No one is talking about fielding a team with the idea of losing on any given day. The team fields the best team it can, with the players it has available. People here are talking about rebuilding an organization from the ground up. NOT losing baseball games on purpose. Is that really worth pointing out?

Yeah, I would agree with all of this.

Yeah, but I feel like we've said this a dozen times after a 3 game skid and we always seem to respond. We're a resilient bunch, for what that's worth. I agree, they COULD go on a huge skid... but until I see it...? I don't know, I think they do this little limbo with the .500 mark the whole season.

Nope. He squared late. It wasn't even close man. He didn't drop the bat head until the pitcher was into his motion out of the stretch.

I went to take a poop when they got 1st and 3rd. I heard the big play by Cordell from the toilet. I guess I should go back in?

Until that happens... But I agree, it was the right move.

Yeah, I was going to compare it to back when Hester would return a kick for a touchdown. I get the same way with Mack too, though.

Am I the only one who almost feels like a little kid every time Eloy homers? I swear, I'm still not past that phase where every homer feels like his first. lol

Eh... pop-ups behind the plate are adventures. They're far from being easy plays.
