  1. I don't know. That ball was hit pretty hard and he was playing at little league depth.
  2. Well, this was a brutal first game back from the break. Didn't exactly satisfy my needs for a White Sox game. We slept walked...
  3. Yeah, that's what I mean when I say "nobody can hit the big one". Should have been more clear.
  4. Yeah, thank god we didn't have Eloy at the plate there.
  5. They're hitting the ball pretty hard. Have a good handful of hits and have had opportunities. Just nobody can get the big one.
  6. Fat Matt Albers blowing ball games in Milwaukee
  7. I thought Reed was about to hammer that hanger.
  8. Two very bad defensive plays in that inning and a fantastic one by McCann. Plus, a nice turn. Weird inning.
  9. I would yell at a high school short stop if he booted that.
  10. Same. Then I saw the replay and agree with Jason
  11. Me too... 1.5 month period that ended in mid-May of being bad. 2 months of being solid that is ongoing. 3 years in Pittsburgh with a sub 4 ERA. Thanks man, now that I look at the larger sample size, I feel even better about the Nova signing. Who says you ain't optimistic, bud?
  12. Is ERA an old school stat? I think it's still pretty damn relevant. Coming into today, he has a 3.93 ERA since his horrible Toronto start in mid-May. That's 2 months of being what you'd want out of a back-end rotational starter. He's been quite reliable since his bad start to the season. It's just odd to be b*tching about him now, when he's been decent for 2 months. He was a dumpster fire before that, sure.
  13. Well, Nova came into today with a 3.93 ERA since his Toronto start in mid-May. Since a bad start, he really has been what you'd ask for out of back-end rotational starter. His ERA has dropped two runs during that time.
  14. If I'm the White Sox GM and can see 18 months into the future. I'm going to become a billionaire off of the stock market. Give Reinsdorf my inside tips as well, with the condition that his billions be spent on the free agents of my choosing. Which I will consult with SoxTalk about on a nightly basis over the winter.
  15. Cole, Giolito, Kopech, Cease and another add for our 5th starter (or Lopez getting his shit together) would have a lot of people predicting the White Sox to win the AL Central.
  16. The city of Chicago has "AJ REED FEVER!" It's all you hear about anymore when you step outside or turn on local TV/Radio! The excitement is palpable and the anticipation is unbearable!
  17. Yeah, need a White Sox game and real baseball in general. I don't like the All-Star break. HOU/TEX plays tonight, but that's not exactly filling the void. AND we have to wait until late tomorrow night with a west coast game. ?
  18. If he comes out of the break doing what he did going into it. It will be difficult for the national media to ignore.
  19. When the All-Star break happened. Things get weird when you suddenly have no White Sox baseball.
  20. That post was in reference to Collins and not Reed. I wasn't calling him fat. I was saying he looks very overmatched.
  21. It can... but the only information we have is that he made 15 million dollars over 11 years. Business ventures and financial investments also fail. Assuming that he's been a savvy business man is pretty silly. I would never argue that he doesn't have an opportunity to be set for life. You could start a business with 100 grand and be set for life off of it. However, you would never say that somebody who made 100 grand IS "set". Let's give you 15 mil to invest and see how easy is to "grow" more money from it. I suspect you may find out that it's a lot harder than you pawn it off as. 15 million is not "f**k you" money. Odds are, he ain't just sitting on a beach and sipping margaritas until he croaks.
