i just heard gammons on sportscenter. It seems as if the sox arent going to get anything in return from how gammons was saying. he said the mets will get a minor league from sox, and send the minor leaguetr, ty wigginton and a pitching prospect to pitt for benson

the minor league probably has to be a pretty decent player to stop this trade with minnesota from happening..who are you thinking it is?

This is the type of outing i think everyone has expected from Cotts all season. He pitched one hell of an inning, hitting his spots and striking out two guys looking on the inside corner. Lets hope Neal can over come his recent control woes and start pitching up to his potential

i wonder if KW has considered calling up Reggie Taylor. From what i remember from his playing days in cincinatti, he never got a real shot to perform on the major league level. he seems to be locked in at the plate in charlotte and if borch continues to struggle and we dont make a deadline deal, i wonder if taylors a possibility

speaking of contact hitters and such, in the first inning we had lee up with willie on third and one out, two strikes on lee. It appeared that lee took one of his big hacks instead of swinging for the team and gettign the job done. lee went on to strike out and we didnt end up scoring. we HAVE got to produce in those situations if we're gonna make it to october

we dont need a closer, what we need is a long reliever. a guy that can come in in the 6th and hold them until the 8th. polite cant pitch every day in a pennant race, unfortunately

cotts reminds me of jon garland a little. garland is cruising and then has one rough inning. it seems like cotts has recorded two outs and had trouble getting a third numerous times this year

after todays performance from our pen, it is apparent that our biggest need is a tough reliever

itll be interesting to see how adkins performs. hes been up and down as of late in my opinion. i know its mop-up time, but hopefully he'll record some outs

lets see how jackson fares in these next two innings. if kenny williams acquires a reliever, it has got to be jackson that gets the axe. its possible he could get it after today in my opinion, however i dont know if they wanna take his experience out of the pen, especially with young guys like cotts and adkins and shingo (i know hes not young)

i understand where you are coming from, however, if gload is halfway to second, hes at third standing up. there is no sense in taggin up on that. ill take my chances hoping it falls and we have second and third nobody out
