There are quite a few WR in the NFL, one of them is even on the Bears, who I would feel much better about going into 2019 with than Antonio Brown.

I cant think of a more meaningless stat than TD's. I mean, all NFL stats are kind of meaningless but that one in particular is subject to so much variance and factors outside the players control, especially for WR of all positions. Brown is slower. You can see it when he runs. Compare him with Smith-Schuster and if you just ignored the name of the back of the jersey one would look like a Ferrari compared to a Vauxhall.

Its pretty much failed. The pitching has fallen apart and I dont think enough of the hitters have maintained their stock to be in sufficient quantity to acquire the pitcher they are going to need. I'd say the stakes here a little higher than $10. I really dont know anything about Barstool Sports, I've never consumed their content except for a couple episodes of Pat McAfee's show, but I'd imagine their Twitter account is a fairly valuable thing.

None of the safeties are going to get overpaid because it's such a buyer's market for them. It's kind of why Collins and the Bears are a such a tremendous fit.

The Bears have maybe the best top to bottom roster in the NFL with a top-fifteen QB on a rookie contract, the best defender in football and one of the twenty best football coaches in the world serving as defensive coordinator to another one of the twenty best coaches in the world. We'll never see these circumstances replicated again in our lifetime. For the next two years the Bears have to go all out to bring home a title. No stone left unturned.

My calculus on this simple. Will Chase Daniel put them over the top? No. Will $3m more in cap space? Maybe.

Bears can save another $2m if they trade Howard and another $3m by cutting Daniel. So they are hardly out of options to clear more money. I think they can find anyone to be as dogshit as Daniel was against New York but I am guessing they'll want to keep him in the QB room another year.

Rather have one high tier free agent who will step in and make an impact than a handful of mid/low tier free agents who provide little more than redundant depth. Bears have had very good off-season plans lately and their overall strategy since the 2017 off-season has been difficult to fault. I hope they recognize their window for a title is in these next two seasons.

Give him a near carbon copy deal of what they gave Robinson. Three years at a good wage that gives him a chance to go wild with Chuck Pagano and Eddie Jackson and get a second go of free agency as a 28 year-old. Cutting Sims and restructuring Long gave them the room to make this work. It will probably mean dealing Leonard Floyd next off-season rather than paying him his fifth-year option salary. Fine trade-off if you ask me.
