F*** it III: Sox vs The National. First Pitch 7:10 CT
Chisoxrd5 replied to Kyyle23's topic in 2011 Season in Review
QUOTE (Cali @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 08:05 PM) I have to say again, I truly believe this is the most boring White Sox team I've ever seen... I hate to say it, but I have never watched less White Sox baseball than I have this season. They are incredibly boring to watch. Paulie is the only everyday player worth the price of admission. -

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 07:50 PM) Honestly, these posts are a lot more annoying than the Pierre sucks posts. So it wouldn't be a good time to tell you Viciedo is 2-3 with a Double and an RBI today? -
F*** it, I've Got This. White Sox vs Cubs 7:10 first pitch

Pierre does everything right on that bunt, but he's too damn slow to beat it out. What a sad reality that must be for him. Nice work Brent, I was about to lose it if we didn't score this inning. -

We have so many horses**t players on this team. What a f***ing terrible AB by Rios. Just leave. -
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 01:41 PM) But, then Juan has some good games and we love him again Speak for yourself.
-
Hawk is pining for Brent Lilllibridge as well. About time someone speaks up about this travesty of Pierre playing.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 01:28 PM) Hawk seemed really annoyed with Pierre's pop up there. How can you not be? Watching him play everyday is maddening.
-
My White Sox fandom has come full circle. I'm now pining for Brent Lillibridge to be in the lineup everyday. Way to let me down Ozzie.
-
*shakes head disapprovingly* The only solace of that going over the wall was that it spared us from having to see Juan misplay a ball near the LF wall again.
-
We just got Pierre'd again! Nice job by Becks on the H&R.
-
Textbook defending by Pierre.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 15, 2011 -> 03:45 PM) JP is 100% useless to this team. JP is 100% useless to this any team.

QUOTE (fathom @ May 15, 2011 -> 03:27 PM) Hey, Hawk finally noticing that Quentin's become a pop up machine to the right side. When will Greg Walker identify this problem? August?
-
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 15, 2011 -> 03:25 PM) Brian Simmons would be better than Juan Pierre. Heck, Chris Singleton could come out of the ESPN broadcasting booth and possibly be better. They would all play better defense. There are thousands and thousands of players at all levels that play better defense than Juan Pierre does. Doesn't seem to matter though, we wheel him out there everyday.

Nice inning by Mark, made it look easy.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 15, 2011 -> 03:16 PM) He'll get resigned in the offseason. Do we still use green for sarcasm on this site, or am I dating myself?
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 15, 2011 -> 03:14 PM) He's going away. All the time. Every time he gets to 1b in fact. He rapidly goes away. Somewhere Augie Garrido is not happy right now.

Juan's Incognito mustache has earned 1.5 bonus points.

QUOTE (Marty34 @ May 7, 2011 -> 12:56 PM) Those will be his 32 & 33 year old seasons and he's owed $19.5M combined. I think it's likely he'll be in decline those years. Does he play Tennis? Soccer? What sort of historic backup do you have for MLB players declining when they reach age 32? Particularily players who don't rely solely on speed as their number #1 asset. A wispy character like Alexei should be completely fine playing into his late 30's.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 7, 2011 -> 10:21 AM) I'm pretty sure we were all talking about a firesale May 7 of last year too. And it was probably equally as warranted then as well. I definitely didn't feel like last years team was as bad as this years though, we just seem completely derailed this year. I think offensively we were statistically worse though to start the season, but the breakdowns have been in every single aspect this year.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 7, 2011 -> 10:41 AM) Only because last year's Mets didn't get to 100 losses. Which tells you how unlikely 100 losses is. We'll win games based on talent alone later on in the year. When it warms up and we are 15-20 games back Dunn, PK, and Q will mash us to victories. The SP is solid enough as well to get us some wins. I think we'll end up with 75-78 wins. My hope is if this road trip goes 2-7 or worse we have to be realistic and start planning for the future. If we're 14 or 15 games out, and in last place, there is no coming back from that. I'm interested to see what Kenny does with a bottom three farm system, and bad money invested next season in Rios, Peavy, AJ, Ohman and Dunn. We're looking at a few probable dark years till things turn around.

Robin and Frank could either be a good hitting coach
Chisoxrd5 replied to Bubba Philips's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (Pale Sox @ May 6, 2011 -> 11:49 PM) What about Baines? Baines isn't near vocal enough to be a hitting coach if you ask me. Wrong personality type. Guys with Frank's unique talent don't translate well to hitting coach. Ventura would work but I think you're in dreamland thinking he would want anything to do with coaching/managing at this point in his life. I might be wrong, but I don't believe he has shown any interest in it. -
Sox (11-21) vs Mariners (15-17) 5/6 @ 9:10 CSN

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 6, 2011 -> 11:44 PM) Isn't King Felix the reigning cy young? were you expecting a sweep of the M's? Not at all. I expect our team to take advantage of crucial mistakes made by the opposing team and to capitalize on outings like Phil Humber had tonight. We did neither and its inexcusable. -

Chisoxrd5 replied to chisox2334's topic in 2011 Season in Review
Give Ozzie what he wants and fire him. We received two gifts in this game, the first run was due to the M's poor defending and their lack of a pinch runner for Cust in the Ninth gave us an extra life. He failed to manage the team leaving Thornton in for two full innings for absolutely no reason and should be excused. What a joke. -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 1, 2011 -> 03:39 PM) I think we stopped caring about that a while ago. He's been doing this with Ohman since the first series against Cleveland. This guy hasn't gotten righties out his entire career. Putting on Sox uniform wasn't going to change that fact.
