  1. Ha. I think it's going to some up and comer type.
  2. No they're not. This whole thing is media and stupid twitter driven.
  3. I need a fantasy football experts help. This is a very important week. We play 2 WR, 2 RB and a Flex. Who do I start? WR- Ceedee Lamb, Terry McLaurin, Tyler Boyd, Brandon Aiyuk RB- Josh Jacobs, Najee Harris, Devin Singletary
  4. If Hahn screws the pooch again this off season God could manage the team and it won't make a damn bit of difference.
  5. Valdez loves seeing all these aggressive swings. Maybe time to change the approach and go the other way.
  6. Ozzie's not getting the job but for some reason they're allowing this thing to spin out of control. It's amazing how out of touch the entire organization is.
  7. This new playoff format pretty much proves MLB players just don'r give a s%*# about the regular season.
  8. Castellanos throwing some leather to send the game to extras. The man can do it all.
  9. The Phillies should check that bat. That thing should be fire wood right now.
  10. That's why I thought it was going to be Getz. They ask one of the guys on the interview team to interview you gotta figure it's because they couldn't find anyone they agreed on. I don't think that anymore.
  11. Metrics like spin rate and exit velocity are pretty much useless on the amateur side because they answer the wrong question. When evaluating 18-21 year olds you're trying to figure out if the can hit, if they can pitch and what metics tell you is how they hit and how they pitch. A guy might have high spin rates but that doesn't mean he's a good pitcher. He may have a terrible delivery or arm action that will not allow him to have future avg command, he may be a big p**** that doesn't challenge hitters or he might be a non athlete who won't be able to make the necessary adjustments to advance to the next level. A hitter might have high exit velocities but he swings and misses 20 times in between, he may not be able to handle an inside fastball, recognize spin or he might be a non athlete with no position. Metrics have their place with the more advanced players but teams relying on metrics on the amateur side are making a lot of mistakes.
  12. Probably but adding another zero to your salary is difficult to pass up.
  13. Ozzie or Thome will not be the next White Sox manager.
  14. Getz isn't doing that job forever so Kenny Jr taking over is inevitable.
  15. He is but Reinsdorf and Kenny both like him too which is why I don't think he'll be a 100% yes man for Hahn.
  16. Yep. Rick Hahn's one and only criteria is he wants a manager he can control. I'm not sure Getz would be that guy but he may be the closest he can get.
  17. He's getting an interview. I think he's the one guy all three can agree on. If Getz wants to manage is the question I don't have an answer for.
