[RUMORS] Possible clubhouse drama information leaked?

The power shift from the dugout to the front office over more than a quarter of a century has changed how the game is played, and its value system. Knowledge over wisdom. Technology over teaching. Data over art. Efficiency over entertainment. Moreover, what Maddon calls a pregame “choreography” took root, spearheaded by Minasian and Tamin. Those two, not Maddon and his coaches, would decide which relief pitchers were not available for the game that night. It was based on a proprietary algorithm developed by Tamin that kept track of a pitcher’s work in rolling 30-day increments. In recent years it had become common for front offices to usurp control of the bullpen from managers. So-and-so “is down tonight” entered baseball parlance, and it came from upstairs. “In that losing stretch that led to my demise, a lot of relievers were made unavailable,” Maddon says. “I couldn’t use them.

Foscue, Duran, Smith, Hauver, Acosta and yes Solak. They have a bunch of them. I think the Rangers also match up well with the D'Backs for one of their young OF's but maybe the Sox can pry one away too....if they fire the GM.
-
I think the Rangers are going to be open for business this off season and there could be a match with one of their young infielders.

Or. Or they're gonna be even lazier with him not around.

Will "core" players be traded before Spring Training?
Harold's Leg Lift replied to joejoesox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
This "core" is way too volatile to win. You need consistent players to win and this team has way too many inconsistent players in performance and health. Everything needs to go right and we've seen time and time again with this group that's simply not going to happen. Then factor in they're likely to lose the only consistent player they have because he doesn't "fit" a poorly constructed roster. They have to move a couple of the "core" guys no matter what it takes because they're not winning s%*# with this group. -
Rick Hahn presser, non-MGR info
Harold's Leg Lift replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The only thing missing from this "presser" is Dusty Baker's kid sitting on Hahn's lap. He's such a p****. -
I don't expect much. Hahn can't blame the manager then turn around and over-haul his F'd up roster. He might sign or trade for a dead cat bounce guy as insurance for Colas. Pederson or Verdugo fit the bill. Other than that it will be a couple different bullpen arms and utility players and go get em boys!

Giolitos' arb number next year is going to make it difficult to tender him a contract.
