You can't compare those rebuilds. The Cubs and Astros were way more at aggressive/motivated at aquiring talent. The Cubs spent what $300M on pitching. Reinsdorf would spontaneously combust if he spent that much on anything let alone pitching. Also this is like year 7 of the rebuild. They only started trying to lose 3 years ago.

This is year 1,000 of this damn rebuild and there are 3 players (yes Tim is hurt) that are guaranteed to be part of the team if/when they're good. That's a freakin joke.
