They. Are. Going. To. Sign.

I just watched the slo-mo from my couch too. What a dumbass!!!!!!
-
Absolutely brilliant play by Tim.
-
Teams missed on Varsho because they didn't think he can catch. It didn't matter if he could catch or not because the bat would play on an OF corner and there was a possibility he could play 2B. He's a surprisingly good athlete. I'm very happy to see his success.
-
Burger was a non-athlete before the injuries. Sure they could stick him at 3B the same way they stick Collins at catcher but he would always be a well below league average boarderline atrocious everyday 3B.
-
Burger never had the actions for 3B. He was a one dimensional player and a very short sighted pick.

I'll take over reactions for $1000, Alex.

Shocking
-
He hits the ball as hard as anyone in the entire draft.

My dude Gladney with a bomber! The first of many!
-
Which is code for ERA inflammation.

RF options are bleak...any other ideas?

Short term- keep the status quo Long term- Trade for Michael Conforto -
They're all going to sign they're just contingent on each other. It's a domino effect.

Certain groups of players are ineligible for selection, generally because they are still in school. The basic categories of players eligible to be drafted are: High school players, if they have graduated from high school and have not yet attended college or junior college; College players, from four-year colleges who have either completed their junior or senior years or are at least 21 years old; and Junior college players, regardless of how many years of school they have completed

The Cubs are really good at home. I expect a sweep. -
Jeez I completely forgot about Luke Shilling. Gonna be interesting to see if he's able to bounce back from his latest injury. High 90's gas and a wipe out slider await if he can.
-
Van Wiener never repped Conforto. He's available.
-
I'm looking forward to seeing Collins. He's not a perfect player but he might be perfect for this team. He's a left handed bat who will get on base and knock the ball out of the yard. He and Eloy are going to be fun to watch.

There are a lot of other RF's I would like them to target before Clint Frazier (Michael Conforto). Frazier has a very concerning injury history and I get that he is still very young but his development hasn't gone very smoothly. If they could get him on the cheap I could change my mind but I doubt that is possible because he does have a very high ceiling but there is just too much risk for me. If they are going to trade some prospects I'd rather them go for a guy like Conforto and sign him to a long term deal.
