Meh I wasn't a Burger guy so I liked the trade. They desperately need left handed starting pitching in the upper minors. What was it something like 200 + consecutive games started by a right handed pitcher and it was an opener (Tanner Banks) who broke the streak. They need lefties.

The new GM has to bite the bullet and get Moncada the hell off this team.

Payroll wasn't the issue. The issue was how it was allocated. Firing Hahn and eventually Haber will help solve that issue.

Sorry I got pulled away. A few more thoughts on Chris Getz: He is a former player and has a better understanding how to build a baseball team better than Rick Hahn ever will. I don't think Chris Getz signs a giant turd like Mike Clevinger. I don't think Chris Getz would sign an aging horrific defensive catcher to the organizations largest contract (at the time) I don't think Chris Getz would sign a left fielder singles hitter to the organizations largest contract I don't think Chris Getz would play a 1B in the OF for multiple years I don't think Chris Getz would allocate so much money to the bullpen I don't think Chris Getz will completely ignore the importance of defense, baserunning and depth I don't think Chris Getz will fire successful scouts, trainers and medical staff and replace them with incompetent idiots I'm not saying Chris Getz is going to be a great GM but I'm more than willing to give him a chance to prove he can be a good GM one day.

He has no say in who is drafted and little to no say in the hiring of coaches, trainers and medical staff. He's surrounded by incompetence and the pitchforks are out because he didn't turn chicken s%*# into chicken salad.

I think Kenny will take over the 40 man but they will move someone like Getz or Zien into the "GM" role to run the day to day stuff.

It's even more important for closers to be able to throw consistent strikes because they have less margin for error. 6.4 walks per 9 innings won't get it done.
