Baseball Reference says Colas has only been in the Sox organization since '22 at age 23. Is that true? Where was Colas playing in '20 and '21? Did he sit out for 2 years or was he playing in the Dominican? It looks like he played in Japan and Cuba from '16-'19.

How do you know Getz wasn't saying Colas wasn't ready but Hahn pushed him to the big leagues anyways because he didn't have any other options for RF.

It's a good thing he's struggling. Every player struggles at some point. He's facing better pitching and they're attacking him different so he's going to have to learn how to make adjustments and battle thru it. It's actually a great time for him to go thru this because he can make those adjustments and try them out in the arizona fall league.

He's getting crushed and rightfully so. I have no idea how he can walk into the clubhouse today and look his teammates in the eyes after saying something like that. I still can't believe it. -
I fucking hate football.

It looks like Andrus taught Moncada about the veteran september stat drive. Hey at least he taught him something. -
Shirley didn't have enough juice with those goofs but he'll have it with Getz.

The White Sox are going to be a much better organization now that they have a GM who will let the scouts do their job instead of one who thought his computer was smarter than they are.

Maybe he would greatly benefit health wise from having the daily routine of a starting pitcher rather than the volatile routine of a relief pitcher. Only one way to find out. -

Funny Nick Loftin draft story. A team in the middle rounds offered him an underslot deal and he turned it down. During the comp round the Royals offered him an overslot deal and he signed. Problem is the overslot deal was about $300k less than the underslot deal. Hope you fired your agent, dumbass. -
Nice backflip Rainer don't ever fuckin do it again.

I think throwing a million sliders this year has really worn him down. Hopefully they will have a new pitching coach next year who has a better idea how to game plan.

He hit another home run off a position player. It's unbelievable. He has be the all time leader in home runs against position players. -
Ok so I actually listened to this. I've been out on Law but he actually made some good points about the organization though he totally backtracked his thoughts about Gonzalez which isn't the least bit surprising. The best thing about the Getz hire is he's going to let the scouting director and his staff do their job and he's not going to think his computer is smarter than everyone else. This organization is a total shitshow from top to bottom because of a lack of communication and lack of accountability. I absolutely believe Getz is the guy who can clean it up it's going to take some time. Despite what Reinsdorf said no one can clean up a mess like this over night.

9/1 Gamethread Toussaint v. Rodriguez

I like Lee behind the plate. He's quiet and sits low w/good lateral movement. He has strong hands and receives the ball real nice. I'm sure pitchers love throwing to him because of this. He's got a strong arm but he's not accurate enough. All in all it's pretty good but he has some things he needs to clean up.
