  1. And I’m fine with that if no one makes a good offer for Leury. But like I said, only the return for Colome and Leury should be truly evaluated. Take whatever you can get for everyone else.
  2. Abreu would have interest on his name and reputation alone, especially if the Sox picked up his remaining money for this year. The Rays were mentioned for Abreu. The same goes for Nova - if Jordan Lyles was traded for, Nova could be too. And Leury as a utility guy who can hit a bit, earning chump change, and under control for another season? I’m sure there is interest in him.
  3. True, but I do believe there is interest in Abreu, Nova, Colome, and Leury. The Brewers traded for Jordan Lyles so Nova is likely moveable.
  4. There are plenty of guys that should be moved for whatever you can get, even if you have to eat their full salaries: Abreu Nova Jay Castillo Yolmer Colome and Leury are the only guys in which the return should be scrutinized.
  5. Which also could mean that the Braves see him falling further down in value so they didn’t have a problem dealing him.
  6. While I get your point, keep in mind that Allard’s prospect status has faded and he wasn’t a top 100 guy anymore.
  7. With Edwin Diaz looking terribly wild for the Mets and blowing the save last night and Ken Giles unable to pitch and scaring off potential suitors, I would assume Colome is one of the best, if not THE best closer available with additional control. I can’t imagine him not being traded.
  8. But they didn’t have Moncada available and proceeded to try to bunt their way to a victory with runners and 2nd and 3rd base with no outs. It was ridiculous.
  9. Not trusting the Sox front office to trade Abreu for anything of value means absolutely nothing since there is zero benefit to keeping Abreu over dealing him. Also, his point about not caring if Abreu gets Jerry’s money is equally ridiculous. Abreu is still getting paid his contract regardless of whether he gets traded or not.
  10. The deadline is at 3:00 PM Central Time tomorrow so we will know pretty early tomorrow.
  11. Slider low and away. The death knell for McCann and most of our lineup.
  12. Top ten? Hell, this team could get to top five.
  13. Steve Stone just said that Conforto’s homerun was announced as 426 feet and then said Stevie Wonder must have made the estimate. 🤣
  14. That second HR by Conforto may be one of the longest homers hit at GRate. I think we have freed up a spot on the roster for anyone we acquire tomorrow. Osich will be DFA’ed.
  15. Man, I really though Osich was going to get the job done there. 😂
  16. Leadoff hit to CF. I guess this isn’t going to be one of those rare dominating performances by Ruiz.
  17. Damn Sox losing ways bringing down Abreu’s bat!
  18. It’s like his hip/groin injury never healed. He runs like he is in quicksand.
  19. Yep, that cutter is lethal for grounders. But great outing. No walks, no hits, and a strikeout.
  20. Nice to see him juice up his value one last time before it happens too.
  21. Eh, there’s another day to go. Diaz was on the block and pitched. Puig was playing right up until he was traded and even got into a brawl during rumors of the trade so he will be missing some games to start his Indians career.
