Yes, Keuchel albeit a little older than you want is a player who can produce more than the collection of stiffs Hahn usually acquires by spreading out his cash. He already spent $32 million this past offseason that we would have been better off saving and signing Keuchel with. I am all about spending larger amounts on a couple GOOD players, not spreading out millions amongst a bunch of veteran scrubs. Hahn and Kenny have always preferred the latter strategy unfortunately.

This would be an amazing sequence of events. Adley to fall to the Sox. Even if they get Vaughn, that’s good too. Sox seem to be in a nice spot, unlike where the Bulls always draft.

Burger = big question mark to even make the show, IMO Collins = Sox still have him earmarked for catcher Mercedes = getting a bit old for a prospect. He’s probably trade fodder. Eloy = LF for now, but I could see DH in his future Abreu = nearing retirement Vaughn = still makes sense to replace Abreu at 1B considering all of the above and that not all guys will pan out

I’m fine with Vaughn but it would be nice for the Orioles to be stupid and pass on Adley so he falls to the Sox.

I would be fine with Vaughn, especially because he is the consensus best hitter in the draft and his build looks a lot better than Burger’s. Yeah, it kind of sucks that best player available for the Sox may be a 1B but you still have to take BPA.

I hope so but I would be surprised. The Royals have an old injured Sal Perez and prospect MJ Melendez but he’s no sure bet. In any case, while it’s always nice to draft #1, is anyone else liking that the Sox pick will pretty much be made for them by who goes #1 and #2?

I know he will hit. I think he is an awful fielder but we get a DH so I’m not really concerned.

I like Betances if he comes back strong from his injury. No idea what he would cost due to this factor and missing half the season.

Betances is set to face live hitters this week according to Aaron Boone. I must’ve saw Giles name on a 2020 list. And I never said Rondon is my guy. There will be guys available is my point. Hell, Hahn paid a good chunk of change for Herrera. Maybe he can be moved to closer. ?
