They acquired Alonso to draw Machado here and it failed. $9 million is a good chunk of change but Alonso is far from a stud. You usually have to pay more than $9 million for a stud.

Agreed, I would only give him a 3 year deal at his age, not 4. But I think what Lip Man said will happen — a one year deal with the Yankees.
