  1. At what point do they cut him loose? Hahn can say whatever he wants but we all know why he signed Alonso and Jay and they have been utter failures. Cut them both. Their $13 million is already a sunk cost.
  2. Rodon has a career 4.08 ERA and is always injured. He has been a disappointment. Burger was in poor shape and it’s not exactly shocking that he got injured. He was drafted as a 3B and he’s shaped like the Michelin Man.
  3. Rodon was a good draft pick? Could’ve fooled me. Also, Collins hasn’t proven anything yet and the jury is still out on whether he’s a catcher or DH/1B.
  4. Nova’s 6.96 ERA and 1.77 WHIP strike fear into opposing teams.
  5. If you draft guys like Fulmer and Burger, you may as well sign free agents.
  6. I remember the second one but not the first. Hilarious.
  7. Because it would have made more sense to just DFA Welington and call up Collins. 😂
  8. Does this mean they don’t plan on calling up Collins this year?
  9. Seriously. I am not a salesperson so base salary is most of my earnings but I also receive a good chunk of change from yearly bonuses as well. This loser, Alonso, has made millions, considering he has never really been a good/great player. It's ridiculous but I guess Rick thought he was worth the money.
  10. Dude, the Sox are going to finish with a sub-.500 record. Probably a lot lower than .500. Don't get your hopes up. It's like the minor leagues -- the only thing that matters is how the Sox young players (who will be a part of the future) perform going forward.
  11. Oh noes, Welington is hurt. Throw him on the 60 day injured list.
  12. Bevington. Ricky sucks but it's hilarious how he's basically an old school manager in a new era of baseball that he just doesn't fit.
  13. I don't think he's making the opening day roster next year.
  14. Alonso = stud. I wish I could get $9 million to suck at my job.
  15. Good games? The Sox are about to be 23-27. Who cares?
  16. The Twins have had a ridiculous amount of success for the money they spend over the years compared to the White Sox. Why would anyone doubt them at this point?
  17. Am I still the negative nancy? Honestly, I'm more upset about Lopez sucking. But honestly, wins and losses still mean nothing this year.
  18. Yes, I will admit I was wrong on him so far. I still don't think he is much more than a fourth outfielder once he cools down but he has value as a fourth outfielder once Robert is here.
  19. This is 100 percent correct. When he has dominated, he is still usually using mostly 2 pitches only but he is throwing near 100 with a wicked breaker.
  20. I won't argue with people who hate Renteria. The guy is a manger from the old era of baseball. He does not fit the modern era. But I can see what you are saying. Maybe the Sox see him as a developmental manager to teach the young guys the right way to play and how to bunt. Maybe the Cubs were doing the same thing with him but they sure cut bait immediately once a much better manager became available.
  21. Thinking the Twins are a fluke and will cool down is low rent. They draft, develop, and sign players much more successfully than the Sox do. Is this even in question?
