  1. You need two starters, a bullpen arm or two, and perhaps a DH/ bench bat. I don’t see any urgency by Hahn so it’s starting to look like the latter.
  2. Remember last summer when the expectations were Grandal, one of Castellanos/Ozuna, and one of Wheeler/Bumgarner because the Sox were going to spend big?
  3. This is what happens to your expectations as a fan when you have bad ownership and front office management that you have little to no faith in.
  4. The Cubs are already rumored to be trading Bryant this offseason. If they also deal Quintana, it will look like their are giving up on the season.
  5. Considering the fact that they tried to sign Wheeler, I don’t see how Hahn can use this ridiculous excuse unless the Sox really think their fans are gullible morons.
  6. The Bulls attendance has finally dropped, which is a good thing. We will see how he reacts.
  7. .687 OPS. The guy shouldn’t be in consideration for any sort of platoon situation. He can’t hit. He’s a defensive sub at best.
  8. How likely do you think the Sox are to get into a bidding war on the remaining two best starters available with multiple teams, who also happen to both be Boras clients?
  9. Money, the same reason everyone else signs. The Sox just have to offer more than other teams, which they should be able to with such a low payroll and not spending for the past few years. This isn’t difficult.
  10. I wouldn’t be surprised but Hahn will be roasted if this is the case. The media may even finally join in.
  11. The only big target the Sox landed is one they pounced on early with a strong offer.
  12. There would be a lot less pressure or frustration if the Sox would make a move already for their higher tier SP target. The secondary flier SP isn’t as time-sensitive since there are plenty available.
  13. I agree on Keuchel but your range on Ryu seems too high, considering his age, injury concerns, and what Bumgarner just signed for.
  14. That may be what Boras pushes for but I don’t see him getting it.
  15. The worst thing IMO is that our best two remaining options (Ryu and Keuchel) are both Boras clients. This may finally end the age old question on whether or not the Sox will negotiate with Boras.
  16. Honestly, at this point Keuchel + Wood would excite me because the pickings are quickly getting slim.
  17. Agreed. Get it done, Hahn.
  18. Yep, Keuchel + Wood is the best combination to go after in my opinion, of the guys remaining.
  19. Chicago media is still focused on the Bears since they haven’t officially been eliminated from the playoffs.
  20. The Sox may have a better chance of signing Betts next offseason than this trade happening.
  21. Like I said, I’ll need to see some proof. I have a hard time believing a guy would turn down an extra $15 million dollars.
  22. If Dylan Covey gets any starts next season that aren’t due to multiple injuries to the rotation, Hahn should be fired.
  23. Except $25 million of the $100 was incentive-based.
  24. This is a ridiculous statement with no backing or evidence.
