Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
I am not a fan of Nova and there are definitely more interesting secondary SP targets to shoot for before him.

Detwiler back on a minor league deal
Agreed, even as a last resort starter in Charlotte, the Sox already saw what he could do... and it was awful. Why wouldn’t you try someone else?

Detwiler back on a minor league deal
There’s our second starting pitcher option for the offseason!!!

Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
I think this is a fair offer and nothing that will kill the Sox going forward.
-
J.A. Happ
Pretty sad if you look at it like that with Price and Happ.
-
Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
The Mazara trade effectively ended any chance of the Sox signing Castellanos or Ozuna.

Eno Sarris Biggest Remaining MLB Needs And How To Fill Them - CWS
There was a compensation draft pick tied to signing him last year. That is why no one wanted to pay him. This time around, that no longer applies. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/braves-dallas-keuchel-slams-the-concept-of-draft-pick-compensation-attached-to-free-agents-and-he-has-a-point/

That won’t be enough. Boras can and he will. History has proven this.

Eno Sarris Biggest Remaining MLB Needs And How To Fill Them - CWS
Yep, that contract is amazing. They probably won’t trade him until before the 2023 season.

Eno Sarris Biggest Remaining MLB Needs And How To Fill Them - CWS
If the Sox sign a Felix Hernandez for any role on this team, it will be obvious they aren’t serious about winning.

Eno Sarris Biggest Remaining MLB Needs And How To Fill Them - CWS
You can be serious about that offer but Keuchel won’t be. This is the last big contract he is going to sign. He is going to shoot for the highest total dollar amount, regardless of years or AAV.

Sox and Sawks to see if the Price is Right
Rutherford.
-
J.A. Happ
I’d rather have Price but I think there are even some flier starting pitcher options I would rather sign than trade for Happ.
-
Sox and Sawks to see if the Price is Right
Hahn already acquired Mazara cuz he thinks he will be that 2+ WAR guy going forward. I don’t agree with him but let’s not compound one bad trade for an outfielder with another.

Sox and Sawks to see if the Price is Right
No, you aren’t.

Sox and Sawks to see if the Price is Right
Yes, we already have one crappy hitting right fielder. Let’s not add another in JBJ. 2017: .726 OPS 2018: .717 OPS 2019: .738 OPS If the deal for Price doesn’t include Benintendi and cash for prospects like Collins and Rutherford, walk away and sign Ryu or Keuchel.

Sox and Sawks to see if the Price is Right
No ones Twitter responses are as hilarious as Bob’s.

Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
Doesn’t make much sense to me. With the Grandal signing and unless Collins is moved, it doesn’t make much sense not to be willing to sell high on McCann. I don’t see McCann being a Sox after 2020.

2020-21 Free Agents (yuck!)
Crickets? You laid out a stupid bet without any wager that no one will remember in a year. I already said Mazara is here for two seasons. Meanwhile, you are having wet dreams of the Sox signing Springer next offseason for $100+ million dollars when Hahn can’t even land a much more important starting pitcher THIS offseason! All the while, name-calling me obtuse, dipshit, and troll. Amazing.

2020-21 Free Agents (yuck!)
I think Mazara is here for two seasons. I already said it.
-
2020-21 Free Agents (yuck!)
What makes you believe this? The fact that the Sox went with Palka as their opening day starting right fielder last year? ?
-
2020-21 Free Agents (yuck!)
Hahn likes to prove he is the smartest guy in the room. He will give Mazara both years to turn it around from being a ~.750 OPS outfielder. The fact that you question this idea and have any belief the Sox will sign an outfielder to a record contract over $100 million next offseason shows that either you haven’t been paying attention or you are the obtuse one.
-
2020-21 Free Agents (yuck!)
With Mazara under control for two seasons, I doubt they go after an outfielder next offseason.
-
Successful Plan B; What’s Next?
Yep, the Cardinals and Blue Jays both just signed international starting pitchers. The Sox chances should have improved greatly.
