  12. All I know about the playoff schedule is Michigan is scheduled to play the Minnesota Golden Gophers (what a name) at the Metrodome on October 11th - and supposedly if the Twins make the playoffs that would be a playoff home game for the Twins. Miohigan's Coach Carr is refusing to even consider a switch to Friday night the 10th (which means that would not be a home game for the Twins) because of course Friday night is high school night and UM has never favored colleges interferring with that. (We will play the game at home.. or Ford Field... on Saturday... as scheduled... but not on Friday night in the MetroDome. Think anyone will go along with that? ha ha) Now October 11th sounds like a second round thing to me and Minnesota isn't even going to the playoffs but since the MetroDome has tried to tell Michigan it may switch the date for the football game and Michigan has said no way, that is now all I know about the playoff schedule.
  13. 1) Who will win the series (CHW/TEX/Split) (2 points)? Sox 2) Will Neal Cotts get a win (Y/N) (2 points)? no 3) How many errors will the Sox make (4 points)? 2 4) How many times will Miguel Olivo strikeout (4 points)? 4 5) What will Mark Buehrle's season ERA be after the series (I will give .01 either way) (5 points)? 4.10 6) How many RBI will Carlos Lee have in the series (5 points)? 5 7) How many earned runs will Bartolo Colon allow (4 points)? 3 8) Will Carl Everett have at least 5 hits in the series (Y/N) (2 points)? yes 9) Who will be in 2nd place in the AL Central after the series (2 points)? twinkies 10) Will Hank Blalock hit a homerun (Y/N) (2 points)? no TIEBREAKER: Total runs scored in the series by both teams 33
  14. it does make me sleep better! that way I don't have to be all negative and bitter and never able to enjoy the moment I like to imagine possibilities, not limit my thinging with negativities plus I've seen a lot, a lot of baseball and anything can happen so I will go with anything can happen rather than foreclosing all possibilities by presuming the worst for example, when I look at a new born baby, I say, "oh, a new life" I suspect some of our fans look at the same new born and say, "you will die someday, die. your end is death." Both things may be true. Lots of possibilities - why limit oneself to the painful side? And both positions are equally realistic. By the way, Jordan 4 Life 2003 - not sure I understand the name, what you are going for here. Sincere question.
  15. I remember in 2000 when the yankees swept us in NY - we were behind 9-0 in the first inning on that Sun day game - yes, we are hopeless, we are losers, baby, why doesn't someone shoot us
  16. Oh no, what will they do now Oh that's right Legace backing up Hasek thank you for pointing out that the Red Wings have what might be considered a strong set of backup goalies - to say the least
