this move has been well around the rounds for weeks up here in Piston terriitory and I am surprised that anyone saw this as "news". It was also in the Trib maybe 2-3 weeks ago that it would happen. Had to happen know because now a lot of assistants and situation and the few remaining vacancies can interview from the reduced pool of talent. One of the Pistons' assistants would go for a head coach spot except to stay with Carlysle for example - none of this is news, really. I don;t even follow the NBA and knew this was coming for weeks.

when ever Sox fan "A" says to Sox Fan "B" something like you must be a Cubs fan or you think like a Cubs fans I know Sox fan A has nothing at all to offer in the argument. The correct response to that is to whine childishly, I know you are but what am I. That way the level of the maturity of the argument can be more even.

I did - I can't prove it but I did - I had the 2000 vibe going - which is why I wasn't even around for the first half of these games (I was working out) either night because I felt it coming - Manuel knows how to get a team to peak at the end of the season, say what one does, we have finished strong these past seasons, and this team has the talent - and in fact, I demanded from the zen of the universe that we sweep the Yankees so I can start posting about how if we make the playoffs there is no way we can match up against the yankees and we will get swept by the good teams, since we aren't one of them and as an extra special treat tonight, during the part of the game that I got home for, along with internet radio with Ed and John, I have been playing Verdi's Requrium since we are burying the yankees (classical music/religious joke, hope someone gets it)

is it that Mars is so close to the earth that such silliness abounds tonight? the level of the discussion is really low tonight.

that is one of the dumbest things anyone has ever posted yes, HSC cheers for PK to strike out, especially when the game is on the line this "argument" or "arguing of your opinion" is tedious I disagree with HSC on her opinion of PK to be sure but then, she disagrees with me - so what? So what? Once said respectfully, each says, oh, we disagree and Go Sox! but to keep going on and on and on and on and on -- if you live long enough and try very hard and never stray from the path, you may one day be as loyal and true and die hard a Sox fan as HSC

this is true stuff consistency is key and the reasion tot ake a dog to obedience classes is not so much to train the dog but to train the person and it is well worth it - every time I take a new dog to class I learn a few new things and it pays off big time - I ahve big dogs and they are trained totally off leash and I have total control over them - they know damn well who is alpha dog in the household and as zach saysm, dogs want that, they are pack animals, so go with it - and that is a palce where consistency comes in - here's a tip - from day one, I put my hand in my dog's food while it eats and I take food out of its mouth and every so often I do it when they get older just because I can - two reasons, one, it is a reminder that I am clearly alpha because I can take food of their mouths and the dog taht ever resents that is going to ahve a tough time - second reason, they get something in their mouths they shouldn't have, I can take it out, which can be a life saver. Loving consistency though - positive reinforcement - when I put my hand in the food dish, I am out loud verbally telling them what a pretty dog they are and what good food it is and I ask them if they like it - doesn't matter what you say, it is tone of voice, and loving - reduce confrontations to the minimum - that's when you can reprimand a dog as needed by tone of voice alone, or even a look - and they do what I want because that is what our pack does and is happy, not because they are afraid dog jumping on people though - every dog has its thing, the one thing that it will do no matter what. My pup wants to sit on my grandson's head when he comes over and play and the grandson doesn't like it - I ahve a crate int eh living room, the first time the pupo does what is wrong, I open the crate door and without a word the pup goes in (because otherwise I will out him in and he knows it - a good dog, a well trained dog, will do what he doesn't want to do) and I close the crate - he sits and sees the other dog(s) and the kid and me and in a few minutes I let him out and he is perfect after that - he still needs that reminder I guess, at least now - he never gets scolded, no way do you ever hit a dog, nothing negative, he's not locked away, and he joins the party really soon and all is wonderful in our world.

no no no no no! If you don't have the time to take her to obedience classes, either get a personal dog trainer to come to the house for the 6-8 weeks or send her to a class - do it now - a dog while young can be trained to do anything but no to the shock collar PM me if you have more questions about this - dog training is something I know a lot about (said by the person who took his car to the dealer for a problem that turned out to be a fuse replacement and a $54 bill, but I know nothing about cars - dogs, however, are my metier')

I was picturing a few more defendants than that.... to raise money for reducing the deficit without raising taxes, I'd have a giant contest, sign up for a buck, get a copy of the subpoena, and like in Where's Waldo, the first person to find Dick Cheney wins it on Sox-split style 50-50.

see, you never heard me preach now, have you?????????? my sermons never go longer than 10 minutes, 7-8 minutes usually - and my entire service with Eucharist is very clockable at 45 minutes - I hate being bored by others and I hate boring myself!!! I learned my timing from Jim "Quick Pitch" Kaat and not Carlton "What day did this game begin anyway" Fisk.... if I did the State of the Union address, I'd have everone out of there in under 15 minutes so I wouldn't have to miss any reruns or new episodes of MTV's Real World!

well boys and girls, time to move this to off topic and lets not forget: I now you are but what am I? By the way, sex changes are good - you do one position for too long and you get all muscle cramped and besides as I told my wife, I always liked the part where she moved

that is really odd to me Jas because why would you want to sign a guy who is not in control of his own emotions, is a head case, is not a team player, and has washed out on the Tigers (where they miss him not at all) and the Yankees - this is a guy who has never done a thing still riding his "potential" label because no one wants to admit that "potential" means shtt. It is what you do, not what you gonna do one day if the moon is in the 7th house and Jupter aligns with Mars. I said Weaver was not worth it when he played in Detroit where I saw him all the time and I will still say it. He is not worth it. Oh even at the minimum? Unless he's had a total personality transplant - which I doubt and need to see evidence of - he will disrupt with his ego any minor league teamn you'd sign him to and there is no room on my 40 man roster for him - there is no one I'd cut for him - because after 37 years in the majors (ok, a slight exaggeration) and you've done nothing, that says you are fated to be in an SI "where are they now" article: he once refused to sign with the Sox and then washed out on the Tigers and Yankees and joined the lengthy list of "can't miss" prospects who missed big time.... he now is on the wrestling circuit in Hickstown, Utah.
