did anyone really believe we were going to go undefeated in August and September?
Saturday we just plain lost -
today we gave up runs on dink ball, tons of dinky little hits - just didn't fall our way -
one week ago had anyone said we were going 4-2 on this road triop, that would have been wonderful -
momentum killed? my friends, this is a 162 game schedule with more ebbs and flows than some seemingly imagine
maybe it is because I have seen more baseball than some of you, or use less drugs, or something - just because we lose 2 in seattle does not mean we plummet to the bottom of the standings -
if you watch JM long enough, he tends to pull and rest his starters when something has been done (such as go 4-1 on a road trip already) and just before something needs to be done that he wants badly - that's what he did today -
what is an "easier" schedule that anyone else has? You all expect everyone to roll over for KC? Every game they play is against a major league team, same as us.
Beginning of the season people said twinkies had it easy againt NY because Jeter was injured - then NY killed them - you can never predict how these things will go -
what was it, in 2000, that the yankees sucked all through september and then won the world series easily? We lost two games, that is all - we have made up 5 games since the all star break - what more in reality could you expect - yes, if we won them all we'd be 105-0 or something but get real -
I hope the players have more willingness to look to a good future than our poor mouth fans
