I just looked him up at baseball referance it looks like other than 1 at bat for us in 2001 he hasn't played since 1999- which would mean he's available
  2. I don't. I don't like the always screaming yelling syle of management. And Lou's act wears very thin.

welcome to the board! I agree Daubach should make the team. I agree that Sandy is here to mentor Miguel and will go on the DL as often as needed. My question: who then is the back up catcher when Miguel starts and Sandy is on the DL? I can't see JP clearing waivers once let alone back and forth - so... ?????????

was just beginning to wonder about baggio - especially on the MLB board with all the political stuff and no baggio! glad he's ok and send my greetings!

you need better friends! The only cubs fans I ever spoke to were my parents, and only because I had to. But I never listened!

I don't think Sirotka has pitched at all at the ML level since 2001. And he won't pitch major leagues in 2003. Last I heard he had a contract with that minor league N Side team. So if pitches at all this yhear - IF - he'll be in cubbie blue and we all know that is not major league.

Well, I missed Mike too -- but he didn't pitch all of 2001, so what good would he have been us? I don't know how he's doing now, but I don't think he'll ever return to what he once was. We got rid of him just in time. And that is why I was never one who b****ed avout the trade and blamed KW either for trading away Siro. It was a draw or we came out slightrly ahead in that we got what 5 victories out of D Wells and they got 0 out of Siro. And whatever D Wells is credited with teaching MB. And we also came out ahead in shipping away Scott "What me hyper?" Eyre. I also don't think that KW knew that Siro was damaged. Just my hunch that a new GM is not going to try and pull fast ones right out of the gate. So even for not blaming KW, D Wells is still a giant asshole.

not me. It took me a long time to console byself that Siro was gone and I never say a game in which D Wells won and after that friday night cubs game I never wanted to see him again

lifetime MLB of 259 I don't know that it would go down all the way to MJ levels but I suspect it would lower if he had 500 at bats a year
  18. cwsox replied to a post in a topic in Pale Hose Talk
he's got a battting average of 259 and this is not the golden age of catchers - some team would nab him off of waivers, I feel for certain, especially as he'll be cheap enough
  19. cwsox replied to a post in a topic in Pale Hose Talk
can Daubach catch? You can't just let JP go cause you don't like him until we know who the back up to Olivo/Alomar is - and we will need one - Sandy is good for at least a few days on the DL
  20. MB has nothing against RC to my knowledge. But FT coming in with spikes up aimed at RC's groin... now if I were RC, that would concern me!
  21. cwsox replied to a post in a topic in Pale Hose Talk
but is it true and that we cannot send JP to AAA anymore without him clearing waivers? And he won't clear waivers - someone will nab him -

That si the one that puzzles me. I don't know how to solve that problem.

clujer well said - at Opening Day 2001 the loudest applause by the Sox fans was for D Wells and it pissed me off. Always we think some outsider is better than what we have so of course D Wells was going to be our savior. I said f*** you when we got him and f*** you when he cost us games because of his over weight making him so fat and hurting his back so he couldn't field a bunt and f*** you when he shot of his mouth just to get himself a celebrity shot on sports radio.

At this time, I also do not see Josh Paul bing cut. Almomar will have some DL time, and who will be the 2nd catcher then? I feel that we will carry three catchers.

Wright won 14 last season, he's not going down - in my opinion -
