  1. another Bevington f*** up - close play, ump makes a call, Bevington charges out and vociferously argues the call and the ump reverses the call - changing if from a class for the Sox to a call against the Sox. Bevington was so clueless, he literally did not know what he was arguing about, and it cost us.
  2. that is my thinking too
  3. you mean porzio gets paid $$$$ to pitch like that??????
  4. actually that would work for me - to see who works best there
  5. I so hope... I so hope!
  6. other than my favorites being Frank, Carlton, and Robin, with an edge towards Carlton, please count me in as one who strongly identifies with what you posted ! I was so angry when we lost Ventura - he was worth the cost as the heart and soul of the team, as well as all those grand slams -
  7. I think you may be right, my man!
  8. getting rid of Karchner was one of the happiest days of my life! I hated Karchner!
  9. CK, you are seeing though my tacit long range dream - you are too smart for me!
  10. I am with you on that! I was RC's fan, but his time was up and he needed to go and it is good seeing him in an NL uniform and not the one the good guys wear!
  11. got to agree CK - but however it works out, I hope we are team with the most heart out there and for the most part I think we have the players to make it happen - I feel good about what happens beginning on 31 March -
  12. I hope so - I just have never liked him, never saw anything that be brought to the table Somewhere..... Kelly Wunsch is smiling and in that smile I hope he gets some confidence to carry him throught the season -
  13. why answer the phone for people like that? It is good to take time for the mentally challenged, but answering the phone is not talking time, it encourages them! Just blow a loud whistle into the phone when they call and maybe they will learn to shut up.
  14. yeah, but as you said earlier, had there been no WFT, we still probably wouldn;t have had a World Series run - so - it was a pure wash. Best to put it in the humerous ancedote category and not let it play into your anger anymore.
  15. that would be explained by a young man's getting experience - he won 14 on something - he gets it more harnassed and he'll be a 16-20 game winner every year, a good thing for a 3 or 4 pitcher
  16. as long as you both are happy and mutually consenting, none of my business!
  17. No question Bush-Rove are playing the race card. They are truly venial plotting strategies to divide and force confrontation to create issues for upcoming campaigns rather than actually do acts of good government. I am glad the Dems held - as they will need to hold on all of the court appoinments that fit the Estrada definition - a lot of conservative judges have been confirmed but there is no reason for the 49 Democrats in the Senate to roll over and spread their ass to faciliate their f***ing by the forces of extreme right wing nominees. Estrada knows if he answers the questions, he is dead - he'll lose the votes of Snowe, Chafee, and other Republicans with intregrity. Thus we get the Bush-Rove scoarched earth stonewall approach.
  18. The constitution requires the advice and consent of the Senate - it is not the president's right to appoint whoever. Estrada stonewalled the committee on his reocrd and efuses top release the memos he wrote for the Solicitor General. This type of stealth nominee does not belong on any federal court. The Republican spin machine is alive and well on these boards. Answer the questions - release the memos - and then we can see what Estrada and the Bush-Rove politics as confrontation team is hiding. (And payback for the stalling on Clinton's nominees is only fair - the Republicans blocked nominee after nominee by not scheduling hearings. The Dems at least scheduled hearings - and Estrada refused to anser questions. For the Republicans to cry about judicial nominees is the height of partisan political hypocrasy. Hatch saying the Republicans were wrong to do it so the Dems shouldn't do it - how f***ing two-faced can one be?) As for diplomacy only being back up by violence - sounds like a Monty Python skit here, or perhaps, the Army report from the days of Vietnam that the village needed to be destroyed to save it.
  19. been meaing to ask you - where did you ever find that picture of me (the one on the left) that you use in your signature?
  20. we will! Oh, we will once the season starts!
