    Tie

    he sure does!
  2. I would just add two words to your brilliant and accurate summation: Buehrle accepted the deal, KW and Hahn accepted the deal, but JR did not.
  3. great catches by CLee, Sandy stealing bases - are you making this stuff up?
  4. this is an omen that 2003 is CLee's gold glove year!
  5. is it :fyou hahn, or :fyou kw or :fyou jr what bothers me intensely is that I think we are at the place where it is :fyou jr and that one I don't know how to get around oh and yes, there has never been a time in recorded human history where the Sox organization has kissed MB's ass, I agree with you of course 100%
  6. shush, I am trying to get on ck's good side
  7. sometimes it happens just the opposite, a deal is negotiated between agent and GM/asst GM and everyone is happy and then the owner steps in when the deal is concluded but not yet signed and f***s it up just saying maybe that sometimes happens maybe sometimes happens
  8. cubkilla has never caused trouble a day in his life.
  9. are we losing this message board or will it stay as is?

    mlb tv

http://whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/new...s_mlb&fext=.jsp It appears they will be broadcasting 45 games a month over the internet - if there are many Sox games here it will be wonderful - have yet to find the schedule for the season so if anyone does let me know, please
  12. that would be my fondest wish. However, there is still more to the story and I hope it is not an insurmountable more but I am not feeling really optimistic at this moment.
  13. If such were to happen - and we know how easily it could spread into the stands and in bars around the city - it would make us in Chicago look like a bunch of hooligans on an English soccer scale and like a city full of Ligues. I hope it never happens that way.
  14. Key sentence in the article is " However, a further examination of the final deal offered by the Sox shows that nearly 70 percent of the dollar value was not guaranteed." Nearly 70% not guarenteed makes it in the scale of things unreasonable. And I still suspect with good cause there is more to the story. Hey, thanks Cubkilla for noticing my suspicions on the press release the instant it was released - thanks.
  15. nearly 70% of it not guarenteed - I kind of guess HSC that you and I were kind of hinting that yesterday, there was more to it than what the Sox said in KW's press release -
  16. ok, but what I am saying that you and imadman are incredibly expert on baseball beyond the rest of us and he has such a head for stats - sitting with either of you at a game is not only fun, it is also a seminar in the very best way
  17. oinly as long as they don't do steroids!
  18. you think? I am kind of surprised that Mesa is still around.
  19. I don't like brawls but that one caught my eye - Sunday afternoon, tv on, doing other stuff and suddenly the fight caught my attention, and like the Energizer Bunnny it kept going and going and going - I never saw anything like it. It not only got the team fired up, it did the same for me. The following weekend the Sox played at Comerica and I made the trip - which I otherwise wouldn't have done - to support our team in that particular hostile territory. That was the trip where I met Parque, PK, and Siro, as well as imadman* and family. Anyway, Eldred won 2-1 that day and as I watched that team I thought that they had a certain something going for them that I had never seen before on a WS team, couldn't define it, but I let my Chicago buddies know that this was a very special team. *imadman doesn't post here but is well known to the tail gate crowd - and the most knowledgable Sox and baseball fan I know as well as a sweet guy with a great wife and wonderful kids. The only fan I know near imadman's knowledge level is HSC, and Michelle, you can't b**** about that statment when you are down 0-2 in the trivia contest!
  20. good luck and let me know how it goes - now to bring this bvack to WS baseball - if CLee tried some yoga, maybe HSC wouldn't think he was a lawn jockey! I rally don't know why more athletes don't try this stuff - muscles are no good if you can't move them - flexibility, stretching, and core strength are so essential to performance.
  21. http://www3.mailordercentral.com/pilates-store/ that is hard core stuff - the tapes I got are from a Wal Mart type store and run like $9.99 - there is even a Yoga for Dummies and Pilates for Dummies which will work fine the first few months
  22. you could probably find a pilates video tape at most video stores or book stores - it will be good enough for a start. You dont need equipment, just your floor, so if you are picking blindly, get one with no equipment on the cover. It would be better to do a class and not sure what is offered your way - around here it is offered in gym clubs or wellness centers. But if you don't do a class, the video tapes will work. The key is 3 times every week for about 30 minutes. (The tapes I have have 32 minute routines; the classes that I do are 45 minutes.) For you being a young stud jock I'd suggest you try the pilates first. After a few weeks pick up an intro yoga video tape, and work it in. You will see results. And with pilates and yoga, your flexibility and core strength will go up a lot and the core strength thing gives you that hard body feel and look (as well as reality) that will drive the women crazy and make you the envy of your friends. I mix in weights, aerobics, and yoga/pilates every week, best thing I have done.
  23. I do it. I am certified in group exericise and going for other certifcations soon.
