cluger, I appreciate your doing this!

oh oh? Really? Not backing off? That means Frank is back big time! best news that I will have today!

if you are going to lift, do yoga or pilates or both as well - will strengthen the muscles you are working in and give you the definition you want while adding flexibility and strength in muscles that weights cannot reach - try it 3 times in one week and you will see the results

I bet you love it too - it is pretty cool -

Was that really in 2000? I was thinking it was longer ago than that but only by a year or so. I yield to your date, however. It was a heartbreaking story. The New Yorker did a very good extended piece on that whole story probably then in 2001, or late 2000. I am sure that the New Yorker piece was not printed in 2002.

some people just ahve a harder time changing Sox than others - don't take it personal!

the top male tips for the years 40 and over: keep you hair; mine is all gray and blash leftover faded once dark brown, but the hair is all there stay in shape - I do aerobics, yoga pilates, weights - a flat stomach at 40+ makes you a man above men. And who do I aerobics with while the guys are grunting with sweaty guys in the weight rooms? I am in the aerobics room, bright lights, women in spandex, getting sweaty with women, and they know that I can keep the beat, take instructions from a woman, and last for an hour. And because we are all in sweaty clothes and they in spandex, there are no surprises body wise later on. And evey class ends with my going out with 2-5 women - not a bad thing, my man. Start the aerobic now - great erercise and where the women are. This is usually very expensive advice but it is yours free, South dakota friend! Just take me to that mineral springs pool next time I am in Custer.

I wonder if any other posters might know the answer. I had just left my paents house when the question was asked on the air. I drove around the block, parked in the alley behind the house, left the car runnin g and ran into the hosue to call the radio station: what was Johhny Orr's Illinois high school claim to fame? And I got the tickets. Anybody?

you know all the really coooool people use Macs! iMac at home, G4s at the office, and titanium powerbook in the bedroom stictly to listen to sox games over MLB as I fall asleep at night - with the apple hubs and routers in this place, I have maybe $6,000 worth of equipment just so that I can lay in bed and listen to the Sox on the (internet) radio just like I did with my transistor when I was 16!
-
sorry to hear about your play by play guy. As for Johnny, back in 1977 I won tickets to a Bulls game because I knew the ultimate trivia answer to a Johnny question on whatever station broadcast the Bulls then, which I will ask you in reverse - in Illinois high school basketball history (I am making this easy) what was Johnny's claim to fame?
-
Welcome back, RPS or whipwreck or CredeFan or whatever the name de jour is! Using a pc with a system invented by Bill "Royce" Gates? Get a Mac! I was wondering where you were - I get to see you in less than a month! You are coming to opening day, right? Just bring the truck!
-
soxheads, my sympathy on the Randall Brown thing. I mean it. As a Michigan fan, I know what a damn shame it is when someone brings disrespect onto a basketball program that doesn't deserve it.

1. Bulls***. It is not my job to stop you from jumping the gun. Each person must do that for their own self. 2. Bulls***. Not my job to break confidence with my friends that confide in me just to please some cyber person. Three people on this board have now said all that can be said to clue you in without breaking confidence. Believe as you wish. and as I read your last sentence, that really pisses me off. Why should I betray someone to meet your ultimatums? Take a tip in good grace or screw off. You have been a good, intelligent, welcome poster - don't blow it.

"Michelle"? In quotation marks? She is a special personal friend of mine, as well as her children. I read what the Sox posted. I read what Michelle posted, and what Get Up Guy said on the other boards. But even before I read their posts, I had suspicions that the official story was slanted - biased - tilted. In that Hahn and I "discussed" this matter at SoxFest, I was very suspicious as to the official story. So I started talking to people who I know are well informed on this matter. And I repsect MB all the more because I know that he is taking heat for declining a contract when in fact he was never offered the contarct as was reported. If it were me, I'd be calling KW a liar to the press right now. But MB has more savvy and more of an ability to take it than I do. Think about it: if there are contract negotiations, the only reason to go public with a story that the other side declined a "reasonable" offer is to make the other side look bad. In real honest negotiations, the details are not discussed in the media but in private. So look at who is "in the press" on this and who has kept his mouth shut. All Michelle did, as she always does, is give a heads up sign, as I tried to do yesterday, that we were not getting the full story - by any means not the full story. Believe her or not, believe me or not, believe KW or not. The choice is always yours.

Michelle, as the first person here to cast doubt on the total accuracy of the White Sox front office stories in the press on the MB contract, let me to say this to our friends: what the media stated and what thre Sox posted on their website is their official story. Their. official. story. There is always more to anything than what one side posts. How many people here have heard the story from MB's side of it? But you are totally ready to condemn MB for being selfish and greedy because of what a KW approved press release says? Give me a f***ing break. I suppose if KW posted a story on the Sox website, covered by ESPN, that said the moon was made of green cheese would believe that too? Now, who do I know - repeat, who do I KNOW - that knows the Buehrle family as well as KW? Oh, that would be Michelle. Who do I know who knows the Buerhles? Now that would me, that would be Michelle, that would be Get Up Guy who has posted the same thing on the MLB boards. Who do I know that was quick to label MB a selfish greedy player or whatever because of a KW press release? For those of you who are waiting to hear the whole story, thank you, it will come For those who accept the pablum that KW dishes out, swallow good.

no one - including HSC - has given us the in depth reports yet - what are you doing, sleeping off hangovers? Give us the scoop!
-
it is my theory that when people disagree with me, neither of us are nuts, just two differing opinions, but that indeed if in a difference of opinion, one of two people has to be nuts, it is surely never I.
-
oh damn, there are two of you? I'd say something good here about my Dolphins but not until we get a new coach. Although next season I may be bragging a little, little bit about the Lions - who I bet will finish ahead of the Bears.
-
No way. you are nicer than me. I would have said, no way in hell
-
who? and for what? I think what we have, our three catchers, is as good as there is out there and available. This is not the golden age of catchers.

Fans of a, shall we say, certain age always called Jack McDowell by his full name - "Jack McDowell" - or Black Jack or whatever because growing up there was only one pitcher (or player) named "McDowell" and that was Sudden Sam. He was gifted.
