  1. if you were my kid you'd be at US Cellular Field about 30-35 times this year - just ask my grandson (note: I am a very young grandfather). It is the only place to raise a child.
  2. what I go through in gas and oil and tolls in a year... but Comiskey is where I want to be to see my beloved Sox, and a great place to see so many friends - I just love the Sox and being there with friends, so worth it to me. And cheaper than doing drugs.
  3. every weekend 2-3 games, plus at least 5 additional games, so somewhere between 33-35 games and I f***ing live 205 miles away one way - you just do what you got to do!
  4. they better not censor mine! listening now -
  5. too bad you are not my kid - I would consider this a basic of life like underwear, food, school, and shoes - WS baseball, what is more basic to life?
  6. I be listenin - what is the email address to reach these guys?
  7. last season it was $15 for every MLB game of the season, couldn't be cheaper, can't you pay that yourself? You'll need them to enter the credit card info but give them the $15 - it is so worth it!
  8. unless we pick up JV's salary
  9. get him, but not for Rauch nor Wright. Rauch is about to blossom and Danny had a damn good season last year all together, a few more wins this year and we will all wonder how he did it so fast.
  10. as has been answered and want to verify, Jose Cruz Jr.
  11. RPS, you know you are getting older when you start calling 15 year olds "son."

I just heard that Kenny Rogers' agent is Scott Boras. I will go outsidce and check to see if any pigs are flying - if so, a Boras client might sign with the Sox.
  13. NL ball bores me to death. I really like the AL style better. If we all liked the same thing it would be dull, huh? Kind of like NL baseball...

Evidently Phil Rogers in the Trib and some web site called rotoworld are talking up the Sox signing Rogers. For what it is worth.

Murc, if the dude can't spell "descent" properly and confuses that with "decent" (which the Tribe is not), then shouldn't the troll be tossed off the board?

That is what KW said, I have to practice spelling Loaiza... KW also metioned Gil Heredia for the 5th spot, whose name I also have to practice
  17. Joey, nice to have you back but I am wondering if the rehab took??????? God bless all liberals! Attack Iraq? No! f*** George "The Chimp" Bush! http://www.bushorchimp.com/pics.html And I am singing the lyrics from Hair just for you! By the way, I got the Sox tattoo on my ankle now too, just like you!

KW said at SoxFest that the only pitchers he would get now (and the question was about Chuck Finley) would be one who would sign for $300,000. So I doubt we will see Rogers. As well, KW had the numbers for the first 55 games, how many times our pitchers would actually pitch, and given the schdule, our #1 and #2 will see a lot of saction and our #5 not that much. So I don't think KW and JM see a need to pick up another pitcher since we have Rauch and the other guys we picked up (whose names I cannot spell) already battling for #5.
  19. I was so happy when the cubs traded him to the Yankees - he used to hurt us bad with he cubs, although I don't think he has ever hurt us as a Yankee.
  20. which mammoth shot? I remember one on Memorial Day that went near to to the back row of the bleachers - was that one smacked.
  21. I've done that for the past two years. It works very well for me. I get to hear Ed and John and brings me back to those days where I listened on the old transistor radio. I put the game on at work or home and it is just fine if there is no tv game - which there too seldom is in Michigan. The internet broadcast can be 5 to 30 seconds behind the tv game, which I have discovered when I watch the Sox play the Tigers on Tiger tv. And of course, you can listen to all the MLB games played so for the $14.95 or whatever it costs, you certainly get a lot of games.
  22. I love the DH, always have. Who wants to see a pitcher feebly attempt to hit? As it is, all of our innings are in play now, instead of the way the NL does it.

no, just his autograph on the scorecard that I got from him in the dogout on Memorial Day last year, that day that I got into the park way early. I think it is all of Frank's ex's who got his balls otherwise.
  24. somehow I can't see Dick Allen in the HOF - he cut his career too short to achieve true HOF status, in my opinion.
  25. No one hit them harder than Dick Allen. I can still picture him just crushing them like no one other than perhaps Frank. I also remmber how fast some of Reggie Jackson's homers got out of the park.
