whitesoxinteractive.com had them and I had it bookmarked but the link doesn't work - I am looking in my real player to see if I have any of those songs still there
-
I think that is an excellent point which I hadn't thought of and glad you did - we need a scrappy player or two and I'd rather have a scrappy guy who hustles his ass to make the play than a guy with more talent who non chalents stuff.

yep, and long time split seasons ticket people get a better deal then the newbies - we get to sit on the lower level, which is weird because I always sit in the upper deck. As far as the other question, I don't think so but I don't know - we did get to buy additional seasons opener tickets which I don't remember last year and the usual allotment of Cubs tickets (twice our seats) but I doubt that will be so for the All Star game but that is only a hunch.

he hit the guy (John Guerra) who was kissing his wife Kim in the parking lot outside of a night club, was charged with two felonies, violation of MCL 750.82 (hitting Guerra with a pistol in his hand, assault with intent less than murder) and violation of MCL 750.227, carrying a concealed weapon. The case was P vs Marshall Bruce Mathers, 16th Circuit Case No 251803. Since it turned out the slugging a guy who makes out with your wife in public is not cool but not that unusual a thing for a guy to do and the weapon was decided to be incidental to fist striking Guerraa and all the witnesses were interviewed and the evidence gathered,, the Oakland County Circuit Court - which hates rappers by the way - did either a Cobbs plea or a Killebrew plea, I am not sure which, one is decided by the judge and one by the prosecutor, and he got probation on one count (slugging Guerra) and the other was dismissed. I would prefer my musicians to have no criminal records but you take them as they come. And Jason, since I work in a law office you know I get to look at the records - we have our ways - and I did a lot of research on Eminem for a lot of reasons, one of which is I am writing an article on him for Christian Century magazine. That will fun if it is ever published... Funniest thing was his mother did sue him for slander (that she is a drug doing alcoholic tramp who neglected her children to pursue sex, drugs, and alcohol - in other words, everything in the video Cleaning Out My Closet and more) and his defense was that it was the truth. Guess who won? I think that is his real appeal - to every kid whose parents didn't give a s*** about them while they did their own things. And Eminem, and also Kid Rock, has/have shared or full custody of their children - turns out Detroit area rappers make excellent fathers. Who knew? Now aren't you sorrry you asked (who else could give you court citations, huh?) and I just gave away the big thesis of my Christian Century paper.

Baggio, we are talking baseball here, not politics! (you left yourself wide open for that one)
-
opinions differ on that - after the way the garage sale sucked at SoxFest and given that no one knows what will be in the next one anyway (which is the day tickets go on sale at the park) if you want a jersey, buy it now on ebay or one of the on line sources, IMHO -

I don't give a damn what Royce Ring does, starts or closes, as long as he makes the Sox so that one day I can have the pleasure of sitting next to Baggio and HSC to hear them yell, "Let's Go Royce!"

for the sake of John Ashcroft, I believe you are referring to portabella mushrooms, Vitamin E, and the Coca Cola bottling plant with the best syrup to carbonated water mix..

that was a very strange game all the way - they dominated, we dominated, we got conservative and they got lucky, momentum was shifting all over, and that was the most painful loss that I have ever been at. Will carry that one always. No one was on the field by the way other than the players - what the Kentucky fans did was dumb. The game is never over until the last second is ticked off and I have sen too amny games wona nd lost as time expired to ever celebrate early. But that game hurt, it really hurt. When I see Ty Law on NFL football, i still scream at him, knock the ball DOWN.

You're a good and principled guy. I come here because I'm the only White Sox fan that I know of in Allegheny County Pennsylvania. I've never met you or anyone else on this board to my knowledge. If I was in a social gathering and we were playing Jeopardy or Trivial Pursuit I'd definitely want you on my team. If we ever do meet I'll tell you why I left the left 30 years ago or so. I'm not a "knee jerk" (and hopefully not a plain old jerk ) anything. My voters card says "non-partisan" . I know these times must be tough for you, not agreeing with the politics of the Executive Branch and having a kid in harms way. Hopefully it will all over soon with your kid, Nuke and everybody elses kid home safe and the White Sox in a pennant race. Now I offer my cyberhand to you in cyberspace. I don't know what to say, you are very kind and your good words are reciprocated. I do tend to get very competitive at trival games by the way, I play on some national network (NTN) every day at lunch and in one series today ran a perfect score but then, for the 2nd day in a row, I blew one question in the other series and missed winning nationally - finished 4th, never have won that damn thing - for all the good it does - and everyone at the local bar hates my guts because I blow their scores out of the water every day, every week, every month - there have been people who have come in just to try and beat me and they haven't yet - I get really cut-throat at trivia stuff, not that it puts a damn dime in my pocket - if you ever go into a bar and see the name cwsox on a trivia contest scoreboard that is me - for Nuke, for my son, for everyone, I just wish the world could see better ways than violence than resolving things - it has never gotten us anywhere and won't solve any long term problems now, only fulfills a need to get someone - I have great problems with what is happening now and fear for what is to come. thank you again, when are you coming to Chicago for a tailgate and game? One reason I belong to these boards is to get my Sox fix taken care of, not many (not any) Sox fans out here and I have met some wonderful people, including baggio who is a great guy despite his silly politics which we never discuss anymore because we both believe what we believe but know that friendship is more important than debating points and as long as everyone is involved, what more can we ask even if we disagree - get yourself to Chicago this season! You have a lot of friends here waiting to meet you!

one reason I became a Dolphins fan when the joined the AFC - the Bears f*** up everything (except the 85 Bears, who couldn't love that team?)
-
for reasons that I will never get over, I hate Kordell Stewart. That is totally irrelevant whether the Bears should get him - what do I care anyway, I am a Dolphins fan and a semi Lions fan since I like Harrington, actually I am a Harrington fan not a Lions fan at all - the game for which I hate Kordell Stewart was on ESPN classisc over the weekend but I did not watch it, I was there when it happened and it was one of the worst moments in my life.

I guess there is a side of you I know nothing about... tell us more!

Yeah I still post there a couple times a day but you are right, it is very negative and it gets distressing over and over, all the s***. The posters here are far more knowledgable and 97.36% less s***. RPS was right all along... this is the place to post. But I still have a lot of friends there, made a lot of friends there, and don't want to lose touch with them either -

LuvSox, thank you for your kind words. And glad you have found this board too! You ask a fair question but I am at work right now and don't have the time to answer you fully let alone give even an outline of my interpretation of what Em is about, and his lyrics, but in short, no, I don't have that problem with his stuff. I think a lot of things were overblown by the media and he has addressed those issues in his own way, especially in 8 Mile. The scene that takes place at the lunch wagon and the buddy who works a couple of Jimmy Rabbit's hours so that Rabbit can go battle are his answers. I live in Michigan where we get all Em news all the time since he is a local boy, and I have studied his lyrics (that is a funny sounding statement, like he is an academic subject... ) and I am very comfortable with where he is at on this issue. And yes, I am a very big fan of his and I had to settle a lot of lyrics issues before I could be one. And I think what is saying, and what the media says he says, are two very different things. And he put on a great show in the Rosemont last summer - Thanks again for your good words and hope to see a lot of posts from you here!

Chris Singleton? I think I'm gonna be sick. I think Chris was there in the forgettable category

You don't need energy to do yoga and pilates, they will give you energy - both very, very low as to be non existent impact - it takes me 1 to 3 classes to get a new move, but it is all gentle, and it really helps the breathing too - if you want some visible results, pass up a treadmill and stairmaster and do the yoga and pilates 3 times a week for a few weeks and then see how much better you do on everything else

thank you HSC for bringing a note of sanity to this thread

1. Thieves Like Us (Robert Altman directing) - also McCabe and Mrs Miller, Nashville 2. Ran (Akira Kurosawa directing) - also, Rashomon 3. Y Tu Mama Tambien (Alfonso Cuaron directing) 4. Star Wars (the original Lucas film - did anything ever take one's breath away like that?) 5. Rocky Horror Picture Show (let's do the time warp again...) 6. Titanic (James Cameron directing - its big, its star heavy, its the best film yet on what actually happened) 7. Woodstock tie with Monterey Pop 8. Reservoir Dogs (one glimpse and I have to sit through it again - can never hear the song Stuck in the Middle with You without flashbacks to this film) 9. Annie Hall (Woody Allen) 10. Moonstruck - a perfect movie that combines love, great characters, Italians, and opera) 11. Blair Witch - I watch 2 seconds if it and I am glued to the end, again 12. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon - to get me to like a karate film, it has to be damn, damn good and it was 13. Eight Mile - Go Rabbit, Go Rabbit...

wondered how the posting system worked, thank you

keep posting that I am hot looking - I like to read that and maybe someone will believe it! Started my spring training a few weeks ago - haven't done any scoring yet (that is so natural, I'll just memorizing numbers once we get close to the naming of the 25 and I have most of them down anyhow) - but for the standing and cheering we'll be doing all season, I am now up to 4 hours of work out a day on heavy days - today 1 hr yoga/pilates, 1 hr kickboxing, 1 hr step aerobics, 1 hour weights (free and nautilius). Tomorrow will be a light day - 2 hours - Wednesday 3 hard core hours - Thursday - 3 medium hours - Friday rest, Saturday 3 hard hours and Sunday 2 hard hours - I should be all studly and buff by Opening Day! I think if the players did some aerobics and yoga/pilates they would cut down on the hamstring and ankle and wrist sprains - the hams need to be stretched and just doing weights does not strengthen the joints at all, only stresses them. I should be the fitness coach just as you should be the scout. This weekend I renew my fitness instructor certification - think the Sox will hire me?
