Major league baseball seems too fast for Madrigal. Hopefully he improves but good defense and smart baserunning are supposed to be things that never slump. Also, I looked around preseason but couldn't find any odds on his homer total for 2021. It is probably something like 1/2 or 1 and half right? Crazy that a top 5 pick has little league power.

Is Vaughn in Left field really a thing? How can this team be considered a legit world series contender starting a rookie first basemen in left field? How is there absolutely no depth on the farm after this team sucked for so long?

100% agree. I would give them Kopech if that is what it takes. Gallo plays good D, Left handed, and is pretty much a lock for 3 to 4 WAR. I'm tired of waiting as well. No more kicking the can down the road and half ass measures. Time to dominate the AL central is right now!!!!!!

Agree 100% This is not something a legit world series contender is doing. The Sox have absolutely no depth and that is already being exposed well before opening day.

I didn't see where you said win the pennant. You said something like the Sox can't compete with the Dodgers or Padres, and the best we can hope for is to gain experience and win some ball games. I'll take an AL pennant all day every day. Another first round playoff exit is completely unacceptable though.

NO NO NO NO NO! This kind of thinking finally lead a long time lurker to make his first post. The Sox front office and ownership group does not get to kick the can down the road another year. I was an anti-rebuild guy and I'm tired of being told to be patient. The Sox threw away multiple seasons on tank jobs. It is year 5 of the rebuild. It is time to make some serious noise and go on a World Series run this year. Enough is enough.
