    QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Mar 27, 2012 -> 10:53 PM) Saw The Hunger Games tonight. Went in with low expectations, not having read the book, and with just basic knowledge of the premise. I liked it, didn't love it. It was slow and boring at times. Good movie, but that's about it. Oh, and Jennifer Lawrence is very attractive. I felt the actual Hunger Games was the most boring part. Everything leading up to it had me hooked.
  2. Weather report for Miami on Sunday is interesting. 84 with 30% chance of T-storms

  4. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 27, 2012 -> 04:48 PM) I plan on winning the Mega Millions tonight. What's everybody want? That's impossible, cuz I'm gonna win. How does BriansSoxtalk.com sound?

  8. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Mar 27, 2012 -> 07:35 AM) Looks like my sister will not be moving to Japan for 2 years with her fiancee (soon to be husband). He was told he could accept a 2 year assignment to Japan if he stayed for 2 more years. Ends up they screwed up the paper work and it was really a 4 year assignment. So, they're not going and their staying here!! :headbang Thanks for clarifying what a FIANCE is.
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 27, 2012 -> 04:45 AM) Miguel Cabrera = Roger Dorn QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 27, 2012 -> 04:48 AM) That's it, folks! I'll see ya later.
  10. SO I fell asleep with 30 mins left in Raw, but your last big live show before your biggest show of the year and not in attendance is one half of your WWE title match, your entire End of an Era match participants, and the two guys fighting for the WHT not only wrestle but one pins the other? Oh, and Christian is hurt again and is replaced by Drew McIntyre. Zzzzzzz The show better be good. Read Maria Menunous broke ribs during Dancing With the Stars and may not be able to go Sunday. Oh brother. Have her get tagged in and Beth demolishes her right away or something than. I actually like the build up for Cody Rhodes and Big Show. Cody has been money. He should go over Sunday and continue to rise.

    I was hoping Rogers's baby would have silver hair like him. I kid. Pete standing up to Roger was good stuff. 2 hours without Betty=good I laughed when Peggy was with the baby and Pete walks in and they exchange that look.

    QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 25, 2012 -> 11:11 PM) So American Reunion was f***ing hilarious. As expected, Stiflers steals the show. Eugene Levi, who plays the dad was also hilarious. I would say this has to be the best movie of the whole series. The only bad part, and I don't really even if I would say it's a "bad" part, is that they brought almost every single character I can think of from the previous movies, and had them all come back full circle. It was really cool to see all that again, but at a certain point it was expected when a certain person would pop back up. But it had to be one of the best comedies I have seen in a while. Good to hear. 2 is probably my favorite so if it tops that, I'd be impressed.
  13. Holy crap. I saw that LIVE and was rolling.
  14. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Mar 25, 2012 -> 09:56 PM) In other news, no one on a national level gives a f*** about the SIU search. Not hard to keep it under wraps. But it is very hard to keep it under wraps to people who are close to the program and follow the situation like Justin and I do.

    QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 25, 2012 -> 11:03 PM) Shameless was super depressing for me. Did the baby have downs or did they just think he did at first before realizing it was Asian? Yeah, that was depressing last night. Didn't need to see the baby coming out...twice.
  16. Jim Nantz acting like Davis tore his ACL or something. Looks like they just bumped knees or something. Over dramatic much?
  17. Pineda struggling to throw 90 MPH this spring.
  18. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Mar 25, 2012 -> 02:09 PM) yea, and they usually write the check super slow I fill out everything on the check for the grocery store, except the cost, before I get out of my car. So there is less time for someone to see me writing a check.

    QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 25, 2012 -> 09:22 AM) I was about at the 1:10/1:15 mark and it took a very dramatic turn into the serious with the ski lodge conversation. You're right, that relationship is just a bit superfluous and kind of thrown in there to add layering, but there wasn't enough time to show the nuances and changes in their relationship. They go from the hottest couple of the 3 to hating each other and the only thing we're left to put the pieces together with is the fact that having kids is difficult/trying on a marriage. Or that drinking a lot can cause marital problems and numerous tense moments? At least with the other main relationship in the movie, you see more of the ups and downs, highs and lows. I having a feeling what direction this one is heading in...hope I'm wrong. Yeah, with the Hamm/Wiig stuff, I was just left to take it to mean that once you have a kid, you become miserable. Good point about the drinking though. Maybe had something to do with it. That was the only real problem I had with it. I was also impressed with how Westfeldt wrote the men characters. Pretty realistic. Especially the Chris O'Dowd stuff. I'm assuming she got some help.

    QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 25, 2012 -> 09:00 AM) Forgot how hot Megan Fox was until I started watching FRIENDS WITH KIDS. Very entertaining, if a bit "talky" movie. Interesting premise, two best friends decide to have a kid but not do it the traditional way, sharing custody. Great cast, Jennifer Westfeldt (Kissing Jessica Stein), her real-life husband Jon Hamm, Maya Rudolph, Kristen Wiig and her b/f from Bridesmaids (the Irish dude), Edward Burns, Adam Scott (no, not the golfer, the actor). Really like this one, not quite sure how to describe it...it's a romantic comedy, but it tends to be a bit more serious and deep than most of those. I got to see it for free a few weeks ago. Too talky, is a good label. I liked it until the end which felt like it totally sold out. Also would of liked to have seen more of Hamm and Wiig's characters. They were happy, then next thing we know, they had a kid and hated each other. There was no timeline as to why they grew apart.

    QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Mar 25, 2012 -> 08:37 AM) Again, that's the same thing we were all saying about First Class, and that was awesome. I also hope you went out on a high note with that joke. Do people label First Class as a reboot? I just assumed it was a prequel. But you are right either way.
  22. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Mar 25, 2012 -> 04:26 AM) Oh how I wish I could have been there to witness this. Looks like they played the song it's entirety, which only adds to the hilarity. It's probably in the top three funniest things I've ever seen or heard. The gymnast looks to be on the verge tears, which is terribly sad. All the years of practicing they put up with has a goal- being able to stand while your anthem is played as a tribute to your home country. What was supposed to be her moment was pretty much taken from her. Kudos to her for being able to keep it together while she was out there suffering for what probably felt like a million years to her. Thank God this didn't happen in the US.

    QUOTE (The Gooch @ Mar 24, 2012 -> 12:12 PM) FX shows tend to do that sometimes until they grow a little bit. I know the Shield started the same way. Probably to establish characters before getting into long storylines. That is what NBC is doing with AWAKE, I believe. They are even airing episodes out of order to accomodate that method. Mad Men....
